Jake Locker is Retiring

Jez looking back at that 2011 draft 1st round there's some big studs up and down that list minus Locker and Gabbert

Going back to his days in college, he had coaches saying that he didn't love football.

I can see Whisenhunt prepping his half-time speeches now:
"Jake Locker's not limping through that door!"

 

Wouldn't be totally surprising to see CJ retire next, honestly

 

I wish him the best. Can we finally retire that #10 jersey? I never want to see it again!

 

I really don't see it as that surprising, when he was on the sideline he looked incredibly uncomfortable.

 

Difference is that CJ may not have a choice...

I always said that if someone with quality draftability stays in college for 4 years INSTEAD of going pro after year 3... that's a bad decision. It makes me question players that do that. Of course Luck stayed 4 years (after the 1st a redshirt).

 

I truly believe he is a top flight competitor and him taking a back seat was never an option. As soon as he knew he'd never be a starting qb again- it was over. Time to go play baseball with the Angels
