Good teams keep their best players. McCourty was never a realistic option for the Titans.

If you set your expectations for the Titans at an unrealistic level, you're guaranteed to be disappointed.

McCourty really isn't that unrealistic. We had the connections, the money, and the spot for him, so it isn't like it was a long shot.

The problem is that what is unrealistic for the Titans is realistic for just about any other team in the league.

We better not let Cary Williams leave today without signing a contract. Probably the best free agent CB left on the market. I know he got burnt at times last year, however he put together a solid couple seasons the past few years. He spent his time covering the number # 1's for the Eagles. Not only that but playing on a team with Chip Kelly fast pace offense, there defense was on the field for the most time of any team.

Guys who will come to the Titans are those wanting to play for a Lebeau defense, those who get way overpaid and those who have played for Whiz in the past.

Still on my wish list are a RT (buluga, Parnell, Barksdale) OLBer (Worilds, Morgan, McPhee) NT (Williams) ILBer(Spikes) CB(Williams, Skrine)

Vets I think might come our way Harrison, Polomalu(if released), Ryan Matthews and Eddie Royal.

Just looking at FA CB's... other than Williams

Cromartie would be the only one over 30 i'd like to see here

Culliver I don't know much about. but is ranked as a top FA

    Thurmond III???

If we could walk away with Parnell, Worilds, and C. Williams i'd be happy. Not thrilled, but happy.

Agreed....you would like to think with all the cap space we have available that we could make some very significant upgrades, but really those top notch players aren't looking to come to a 2-14 team. Also this year it seems teams were able to hold onto their own guys more without having to tag them.
