    I'll do it.

If we actually do sign him it'd be like we actually unfluenced him to sign. My first official FA signing in the books.

Too much? He could have broke the bank if he hit the market. He took the hometown discount which is smart on his part. Cobb is still going to put up numbers and be in the playoffs. Wouldn't have happened in Jax or Oak. And for what 15% more? Not worth it.

I get to play with the best QB in the league, in a great NFL city and on a Super Bowl contender while getting paid $40 million? Yes, please.

well either way. I think mlb is the one position we don't have to worry about upgrading on defense.

I disagree. I have zero faith in ZB and think Woodyard is awful. Williamson is our only decent ILB.

I think you are probably right. The problem will be the coaching staff. I think they see Woodard differently. He led the team in tackles, yet I believe he and Griffin were tied in missed tackles as well. Just a guess.

It seems as though Whiz & Tommy want to talk about tough physical guys, but want to back guys who miss on huge plays or repeatedly miss tackles. Example: Griffin being the heart beat of the team...... Makes me sick to think Griffin will be back making WAY too much money as a starter.

Pardon me while I vent for a second. I see all the Nasvhille beat writers saying we are going to keep Griffin around when we have the chance to sign a Pro Bowl FS in McCourty. If true, how our FO rationalizes this decision is beyond me. I could care less if he buys into the coaches and they like his attitude. Performance on the field should matter most. You don't pay top safety money to one of the worst starting FS's in the league (you cannot dispute that fact!). So what that we have holes elsewhere, the name of the game is to fill the holes and IMPROVE other positions. McCourty > Griffin = improvement

Until our FO and ownership realize this we will continue to be the forgotten step-child franchise of the NFL.

I have zero faith in ZB as well, but he seemed to be making strides.

We'd certainly be better with him than without him (in our current situation).
