The question is: does his talent make him worth the trouble? RBs are cheap and easy to find nowadays

There are going to be so many washed up RBs available this year for cheap.

I want one or two of them on cheapy one year deals to see if somebody is going to play hard for a decent payday. McFadden, Bradshaw, DeAngelo Williams, Ryan Matthews, Shane Vereen, Mark Ingram, Justin Forsett, Frank Gore, Roy Helu, Knowshown Moreno.

I wouldn't say Ingram is washed up either. Gore is getting to that age but not washed up..had a good year.
As far as Rice he said he played with an injury in 2013 so for me he should get a chance to prove himself..I'd rather give him a 1 year see what he has contract then someone like McFadden...Id say he's had his chance to prove hes not done

If his poor 2013 was due to injury I'd give him a chance...I think he's motivated to prove he's changed and learned from his mistake..I'd rather give a motivated vet a chance then a washed up vet just for the sake of having a vet

Ray Rice, DeAngelo Williams or Mark Ingram would be fine with me. Even Frank Gore to replace Shonn Greene would be ok. It's hard to think that McCluster and Sankey will be anything special for us.

Poor phrasing on my part. Could substitute mediocre or middle of the road. Or in ingrams case, failed to live up to potential

How about Steven Jackson on a cheap deal? Better that Greene?

Wouldn't be my choice, but like I said, I think a lot of these guys will be available after the draft. I want 2 of them and see if the ones we get are wanting an actual bigger payday and are going to work really hard on a one year prove it deal.

I forgot to include Reggie Bush in my list and he would be a personal favorite choice of mine. As well as Shane Vereen and Ryan Matthews.
