I hate this dude with a passion but A) this doesn't surprise me B) I'm open to it. This team desperately needs some fire and compassion, and Harrison has that. He's a tough SOB, and lord knows we need to toughen up. As mentioned, would be good to have someone who knows this defense inside/out and can help the rest of the guys/new rookies/FA buy in to the system.

He'll be good to have in this locker room where losing has become acceptable.

Besides, he was pretty productive last year. As long as they're not relying on him to start, this would be good for us.

I don't buy into the mentality that you bring the guy in just because he has experience with LeBeau's scheme unless he's a solid player. To me, you bring in young talent with upside and build towards '16 and beyond.

Honestly, I love this signing.. seems like i'm in the minority. I don't want him as a starter, just as our #3 OLB. He'll bring a physical "Bernard Pollard" type of leadership and work ethic to this team. I want the nasty Titans back.

I can imagine Harrison talking to his agent right now.

Harrison: Yo, hit up the Titans front office and try to get me a deal.

    Agent: Why the Titans?

Harrison: Cause I'm the 37, my skills have pretty much diminished, I thought I was done last year, retired, but was brought back because of injuries to the Steelers. Now I figure I can milk those suckers for 1 last paycheck cause of my ties with LeBeau, because I'm a Superbowl champion and then just coast through the year like all of the over the hill veterans they have signed before. Its either that or retirement. Nobody else will probably sign me.

Agent: Okay, how does 1 year 5 mil guaranteed deal sound?

Harrison: Perfect, no matter how much I don't give a ****. I'm for sure making 5 million. It'll be good to spend a year not 100% dedicated to football. I can spend half my time spending time with family and enjoying myself cause this team obviously isn't going anywhere.

Only linebacker I want from Pittsburgh is Jason Worilds. Before someone asks, no I don't think he is the pass rush answer all by himself, but he is a very, very, very good young linebacker.

He'll actually bring depth and already knows the system. Even rebuilding teams need room for vets and Harrison would be one of the guys I want. He brings an attitude that we desperately need on defense, I doubt he'll quit on us like Pollard.

Would be an ok pick up for vet min. But not going to do much for our team at all. He's a good guy to bring in to push the younger guys and provide decent depth.

I'm over the whole we need players with attitude or players with championship experience. What we need is talent and a core good young players to build around.

Recently these FA who are suppose to apparently change the culture that we bring in usually do our team more harm than it does good.

I hate James Harrison as an opponent but bringing him here would not be a bad thing. Aside from Casey our D is a bunch of softies and Harrison is anything but. He's not worth top FA money but he'd bring a lot to the table if he were to come here.
