BWW actually showed some signs that he could be pretty damn good. Unfortunetly, he also showed more signs that he could be a pretty big headcase.

If we didn't have so many other glaring needs, finding a #1 CB would be a priority. Though I agree BWW deserves the opportunity to build on last season, he was a liability much of last season. He flashes potential (the story of too many Titans draft picks) but he's got to cut back on the mistakes.

McCourty benefitted from teams picking on BWW, IMO.

Secondary and dline go hand-in-hand... in my opinion. If one is great, the other is good. If one is bad, the other is awful.

    I'm more of a dline-guy, myself.

I feel the Titans have to many other pressing needs to make a QB a #1 need

But I agree it still should be a need and I find it funny how several people in here rank their needs 8 positions deep and QB isn't even in there lol

I would rather use our assets on pass rushers & fixing the OL. If we fix the pass rush then hypothetically our secondary would improve. Also, we have some young "talent" in BWW, Sensabaugh, & Huff so hopefully they'd improve.

Ultimately, I'd like to bring in a 4th-5th round CB for additional competition. I really like Josh Shaw from USC. Next year if our young guys don't improve, we can spend a 1st on a CB since hopefully our OL and pass rush wouldn't have major holes.

No one should be happy with our CB situation. Sure a great pass rush can do wonders for the secondary. But the thing that nobody seems to want to mention is the very real possibility that our pass rush DOESN'T get fixed this season. Personally I've lost all faith in Webster to bring in the right kind of players to get this team headed in the right direction. And this coaching staff hasn't exactly proven to be able to get the most out of the players they are given to work with.

I really hope Webster proves me wrong because I do not want to have to go through all this crap again with a brand new GM with his own opinions on coach & player personnel. But I fear this team isn't going anywhere until we get a more competent guy at the top.

I didn't see the signs that BWW was getting better. He would have an "okay" game and everyone would praise him, when in actuality he was terrible and getting away with defensive holding, PI, out of position and getting straight up beat; in the case were the receiver didn't catch the ball because of it being overthrown, dropped or BWW coming in and diving in at the last second to break up the pass. Then the next game he would get straight up abused again. Dude sucks.

    Happy with? No

Its not going to change this off season imo. Too many other things to worry about. A good secondary makes the pass rush better. We dont have one of those, so we have to go the opposite route. Fix our front 7 and hope that the DB's improve.

BWW did some really good things last season, but he also did some really bad things. We will find out this year if it was inexperience or him being bad. I dont see us replacing any CB's this off season.

We have too many other holes. Improving this pass rush should be our #1 priority, and that goes a long way towards helping a secondary. We all know Blidi struggled for large parts of 2014, but he also flashed some nice skills. I still believe in him. I think most young corners need to take their bumps. He's still got the athletic skills to succeed at the position, and is very smart/mature.

I think our #1 focus needs to be at OLB, and the DL.

Gentlemen we can rebuild him (the secondary), we have the technology (in this case the funds), we have the capability to create the worlds first bionic man (a good secondary). Taken from the intro to the "Six Million Dollar Man."

We are not lacking in financial resources, so my question to everyone reading this thread: Why are you thinking small? And I don't just mean Buster Skrine small, I mean in general.

Have you seen the list of young available free agent cornerbacks this year?
    5. Buster Skrine 5'9/186 (#2)(nickel)
    4. Perrish Cox 5'11/190 (#2)
    3. Brandon Flowers 5'9/187 (potential #1 - former pro-bowler)
    2. Chris Culliver 6'0/199 (potential #1)
    1. Byron Maxwell 6'1/207 (potential #1)

All of these young men are established starters in this league and also 28 years old or younger. There are more established cornerbacks like Revis and Cromartie, but we also know the bill that acquiring them would carry and they are up there in age.

As I have stated before and it was mentioned earlier, Jason McCourty is a #2 cornerback on a good team. We need a #1 and I personally don't feel Buster Skrine is a #1. He is a solid #2/nickel cornerback. Exactly the same role that he has in Cleveland.

Stop thinking small and explore the possibilities of getting a big physical cornerback (Maxwell). Please do not argue that any cornerback would look good in Seattle, because if you have not noticed teams don't throw at the guy that plays opposite of him. The majority of the targets are thrown in Maxwell's direction and he more than held his own.
