    Ok lets start dreaming here. I'd want in this order at WR;
    Dez Bryant
    Torrey Smith
    Mike Wallace
    Jeremy Maclin
    Eddie Royal
    Hakeem Nicks
    Michael Crabtree

Mike Wallace's last 3 years, his ypc has avg'd under 13 ypc (12.9)and 3 years ago he was still on Pitt with Big Ben throwing him the ball so no Tannehill excuses there.
There are 4 problems with Wallace.
1 - He thinks he's better than he is.
2 - He is willing to hurt the team. Didn't he self bench himself last year?
3 - He is overpaid for his production (see below).
4 - We don't want another overpaid ME player who lacks the production. We don't have the vet leadership to keep him in line!
To clear this up further, Wallace has not reached 1000yds in any of the last 3 seasons and only reached 10 TD's once in that span. His ypc has declined quite a bit since his first 3 years in the league and his catch% of 58% last year is a bit low for his YPC (12.9).
To put this in perspective, Kendall Wright, whom a lot of posters think is only a slot guy and not a starting WR had a catch % of 61% and a 12.5ypc. And I would argue Tannehil is light years ahead of the QB play Wright got last year throwing him the ball and a coaching staff not knowing how to use him!

But I digress, if Wright had been targetted the same number of times as Wallace (115) times, he'd have both more catches and more yards than Wallace did last year. Wallace would still have a slightly higher ypc (.4 ypc) and more TD's (3), but I don't think anyone is suggesting Wright is worth $9mil/yr....are they?

Compare that to say, Randall Cobb who had 91 catches (72% catch rate) and almost 1300 yards and a much higher 14.1 ypc. Wallace only slightly edges Cobb in TD's per catch. Now you can argue successfully that some of this is due to a better QB and I agree, but just pointing out some statistical differences to consider.

    2. Demaryius
    3. Maclin
    4. Smith
    5. Crabtree

0% chance we land Dez or Demaryius though.

Wouldn't want any of the rest other for the sake of them being super cheap depth.

I still think Nicks can be good, but it seems he lacks motivation. He should stay in Indy. Wayne is gonna retire. He'd be the #2 guy (for the time being) behind Hilton, unless Moncrief takes a huge step this offseason.

Yeah, maybe. Not sure it is something necessary. I would like the think Justin Hunter could turn into a consistent deep threat so we could use that money elsewhere. jmo

    Good news -

Per Mike Reese of ESPN - Patriots are more likely to tag Stephen Gostkowsi than Devin McCourty. Still a chance Pats work out a multi-year deal with McCourty. However, Patriots have a history of letting big name free agents walk and replace in the draft. Patriots currently have an ex-2nd rounder FS on the roster behind McCourty. If Devin hits the open market, theres a chance he gets offered a top-5 safety contract, doubt the Pats would match.

@JCBRAVE - this is our guy. Hopefully Mike Reese is right.

Me too. We can get rid of Griffin, saving us money and adding one of the best coverage safeties in the league. We have the money to offer him a legit deal, enough to make him leave the Patriots. He can reunite with his brother.

A free agency of Devin McCourty, Dan Williams, Troy Polamalu, Clint Boling, & James Harrison would make me happy. Troy/Harrison on cheap deals.

Thats a very good prediction to what our free agency period may yield us, I'd also be happy with those additions.
