    Yes.

Because heres how it goes now, alter a WR and boom, flag, no matter how serious the foul, DB always loses.

In theory that is a good idea, but I don't know how it would work in practice ... PI is already a hard call sometimes, now the refs have to differentiate between 4 types of PI? ... might be possible, but there would always be a ton of controversy.

I think another option would be to heavily fine defenders for 'blatant' PI ... maybe that would deter them.

I'd actually be okay with this.

15 yards from line of scrimmage and a 1st down is plenty for PI.

It prevents a bad PI call from being quite as crippling. Nothing worse than a deep pass into the endzone that gets flagged for PI when it really wasn't.

ok 4 levels is a bit excessive, make it 2-3 levels then.

I dont like an automatic 15-yard foul, just dont, what if the foul is 3 yards off the line?

if youre going to tamper with this, it has to have multiple levels to it IMO

Or I think there should just be 2 types of PI ... spot foul for Blatant, and 15 yards for the rest.

Blatant should be well defined in the rule though. (like knocking the WR down)

True. I guess you would also have to take into account if the ball is catchable or not ... surely an NFL WR wouldn't 'flop' to try and get a flag on a ball they have a chance on. If the ref didn't throw the flag, then they would look like total buffoons.

IDK how many Giants games youve caught the last 3 or so years, but they made an art of it in NY. Luckily for fans with backbones the NFL sent out a letter warning anyone caught of such acts would be fined, since then NY has changed their ways.

How about, if the WR is visibly knocked of course by the DB while the ball is in the air = blatant.

This should be reserved for the most extreme cases of PI. When there is no doubt that the DB committed the foul on purpose.

anything else should be 15 yards

In the end though, it doesn't really matter what is right and what is wrong when deciding on the new rule ... it is about what is best for the Titans

As it stands now, it would be best for the Titans if the rule is changed to all PI=15 yards. This helps us for many reasons.

    1) Our DBs suck. We could definitely benefit from mauling some WRs in a lot of situations

    2) Since our O sucks, it really won't be affected much by this rule change anyway, so might as well help out the D

    3) Andrew Luck is in our Div ... he will always get the benefit of the doubt from the refs on these PI calls. So changing it to 15 yards would hurt the Colts

    4) Our new gameplan on D when playing the colts would just be to tackle any WR that runs past 15 yards ... since it would likely be a completion anyway ... while we might still lose the game, it should would be more fun to watch than constantly getting burned every play.
