Yeah I am constantly amazed at people who still think CJ is a viable option. He will hurt the team 9 out of 10 runs and when he does break off that 10th, it doesnt really help the team it just makes his stats look better than the reality.

I always like to find burned out players or guys on the fringe of getting cut and like to move them around the field to see if theres any way of making them a factor.

With CJ I see enough skillset to where I'd ask him to play RB from the slot (think 1950's wing-back), and have him just run shallow routes that take him in out in space, I mean wheres CJ best? In space, so why is he still an iso RB? IDK, he needs to play off the line like a slot guy, but obviously not be a "slot" guy but a RB at WR.

Build in say 2-3 designed short passes and tell him to run away. Thats potentially 50+ yards from whats otherwise a useless player. then the rest of his touches can come on reverses that send him off with a head of steam...

But that wont happen, because CJ doesn't see HE is who sucks, he thinks its all on everyone else, so no one will invest in him in the way Im suggesting.

I always wanted to see CJ as a kick returner when he was here.

Yea me too, but when youre making $8-10M/yr coaches are a bit hesitant to send you to field kicks...

You do realize he had the most rushing yards of any FA RB signed last season. And that was as a backup. If he would have been the full time starter last season he would have got a 1000 yards again.

I bet 2,000! It's just a shame all these guys who have been coaching football their entire lives can't figure out how to use him properly and don't recognize his amazing talent!

When that right HC comes along watch out NFL!!!
