Ok I can see your point, pretty popular opinion, and nothing wrong with it. Its interesting you say hiatus, because thats what Jacksonville originally was to Khan in the 90's. Khan appears to be one of the most popular owners, every other owner likes the man, I just want you to understand my approach to this thread was not to blast Khan and his team, it was trying to understand why Tommy Smith gets so much hate... Its unwarranted IMO.

In order to own an nfl team you or your family have to be successful in the business world. There are many different approaches that work, there is no "right" way. The key is to make money period. Tommy, khan and jerry jones have very different approaches, but all make money.

Almost the entire time bud was in charge the titans win or loss made money. As a business man, why change your ways. Now that the team is loosing support things will change.

Its all about the almighty dollar

Even a completely incompetent NFL owner will make money. The TV contract brings in billions per year.

    I never understood that argument.

Damn near anyone here could be gifted an NFL team and make a profit. You would almost have to intentionally try to flounder.

Being an NFL owner today is guaranteed profitability. only problem is the initial investment.

Tommy Smith says to shove a pie down the fat hole in your fat face.

Titans CEO Tommy Smith: Better things ahead for 2015

    "
    Other improvements discussed by Smith:

--Price reductions on key concession items and additional specials offered before kickoff.

--More local cuisine incorporated into the concession offerings from the Nashville restaurant community.

--Enhanced training for concession workers to improve the quality of speed and service.

--Improved efficiency at entry gates to speed traffic flow while following NFL security guidelines."

I'd be pretty psyched if they did the above.

Well I was thinking Edley's BBQ or Prince's Hot Chicken or just any of the local restaurants in the area having a stand in the arena. Even the Grilled Cheese Truck could have a pretty amazing stand in LP but obviously they couldn't allow choices it would just have to be staple sandwiches.

They do have some good craft brews but they could do more of that as well.

All of that is a big improvement over "All American Hamburger and Hot Dog" or whatever. We have Papa Johns and Logans currently... whoop whoop.
