    I bought three bottles.

One to drink, one to store, and the other to either drink or store.

Man of Steel was a good movie, but I didn't understand why Superman needed to be in a bad mood all the time. He shouldn't be the dark and brooding type. I guess he'll fit in better with Batman now.

I think Supes was all emo to help us connect with him in his fish-out-of-water alienation ( get it?!). If he'd been all happy we'd have hated him. Again.

    Superman is a Christ figure.

Lots of Jesus imagery with him.

Came from the Heavens to save us.

His father sent his only son to earth.

    Still communicates with his father.

Raised by parents that were not his.

When he came of age he went out on his own to find his purpose.

Humanity doesn't welcome him with open arms.

    Sacrificed himself and was resurrected.

    Performs miracles.

His father said it best, "He'll be a god to them"

This is a recent change though because Superman was created by two Jewish gentlemen.

    - Father put him in a basket and sent him away to save him, like Moses.

    - An outcast trying to adapt to a new land, like Jews.

    - Hitler said Superman was Jewish propaganda

    - Kal-el, Jor-el, I mean come on. "El" being the Hebrew suffix for god. Kal-el rough translation - "Voice of God"

The symbol meaning "to learn" also linked to the Lamedvavniks who are the righteous ones who saved the world.

tl;dr Superman was Jewish, character was expanded on and became mostly a Christ figure as time went on.

Snyder went a little heavy on the Christ imagery.

    Superman is literally Jesus!

Jewish guy sent by his father from the heavens. Performed miracles, died then resurrected sacrificing himself for humanity.

Cruds I don't know if you'd pick up a comic but if you can get the All-Star Superman books you'd see this character in a different light.

He was the victim of lazy writers for decades.

The jews consider Jesus just another dude, not a messiah, son of the big fella, etc. So the Jesus/Superman messiah angle created by jews doesn't hold water..

Of course Hitler thought Superman was jewish propaganda. Much Hollywood and US entertainment culture was considered jewish propaganda by the enemies of the US state. Mostly because Hollywood was predominantly run by jews.. And of course Siegel and Shuster of DC Comix..
