I would hate to see the Chargers move. Don't care about the Raiders either way.

What is interesting is that they are both in the same division. What happens if one team wins the division and the other team makes the playoffs as a wild card, causing them to meet in the playoffs. Who is the home team?

One thing can be certain....there would be a great chance for at least two sellouts per year I guess.

I guarantee 100% that more than one person will be stabbed in there within 5 years or less.

That's a simple answer: The team that's listed as the home team, would be the home team. Their season ticket holders would get the seats.. the other team's wouldn't. It's not too complicated. It would create crazy demand for those tickets on the free market.

There's no way this would be a problem in the playoff regard.. Even if they both have home games.. one could have the Saturday game, one the Sunday game.

Another reason this is improbable is that the Raiders never make the playoffs, and the Chargers rarely get a home playoff game.

I find the idea of moving two teams to LA questionable.. but making it work, stadium wise would not be very hard at all. It would make for a great, interesting rivalry.

But getting fans to adopt these teams, that's the issue. SD fans will bail on the LA Chargers. Don't know if LA would support 16 home games of football every year.

Logistically, playing in London is about 1000x more complicated.

On a smaller scale, My high school had a 12,000 person capacity football stadium (impressive for southern Indiana) and we shared the stadium with the private, catholic school rivals.. They would alternate yearly, on who the home team was. If they were the home team.. they would get the home section.. they'd have their band, announcers, etc. It makes for a rich and entertaining rivalry, to be an away fan in your own stadium.

The problem could easily arise though.. say the Raiders improve, and the Chargers start getting horrible, and lose all their fans in the move.. the two yearly Raiders-Chargers games could basically both be Raiders home games, if the Raiders fans take over.

Gunny you have transformed yourself into the Bruce Buffer of GoTitans, just not quite as good as Michael Buffer but give the guy a pat on the back for trying.

As for the topic you bring up, this is interesting because the two share the same division and would be playing each other at the same place every time. I dont dislike this but its a cool advantage to other franchises. it would also give LA 3 teams...

Yea I too would like to see the Chargers stay put, I at some point would love to stop by SD on my next trip out west, would be cool to catch a game there since its one of the stadiums Im still yet to experience. But also anything LA spits out will be pretty impressive. Id imagine they'd try topping the Cowboys and Falcons new stadiums.

    Its not really worth it.

The stadium is old, the fans ****ing suck and you likely will not have a good time. San Diego fans, of any sport, are incredibly fair weather.

Love the city, but **** the sports fans.

It's because they have beautiful weather, and quite frankly, better things to do than pay to watch the Chargers.

Definitely true that where there is less to do, the sports are more likely to thrive. Look at Canada with Hockey. If not for hockey, they have serious lack of things to do, besides being snowed in.

In Florida and Southern California, they can get out and enjoy life all times of year. No need for entertainment where you are captive for 3 hours, plus 7 dollar beers.

I have a cousin who recently moved out there, thats more the reason Id venture out there, catching a football game would just be a nice little plus.

You been to that zoo out there? That seems like a fun way to kill an afternoon.
