He managed to lose to winless teams a time or two. One of them would have gotten us into the playoffs, so obviously, can't say too much.

 

Munch has won as much as Whiz has.

The Titans wanted Munch back as long as he fired Jerry Grey and Bruce Matthews then hired Whiz to replace him when he wouldn't make the changes.

Sounds like you're suggesting we need a new DL and 2 OLB's. I think if we upgrade the 2 OLB's and either 1 DL or Woodyard, I think you'll see a big difference...especially if we have a FS who can tackle too.

The point of our DL is to play that gap and the LB's have to play the left over ones. Casey's problem is he's sometimes too good at penetrating because when he gets ridden into the backfield but out of the play, instead of a gap, there is now a hole. LB fills but takes on a lead blocker and there is still an open gap.

It will be VERY interesting to see if LeBeau moves us to a 2 gap NT in which we may very well go after Williams in FA.

 

Dick still has some football left in him. But makes you wonder if management made him resign or what? We have not heard the full story.

 

Keith Butler has been getting calls for some time, my guess is Dick was doing Pittsburgh a favor by resigning, which allowed them to retain Butler, his time is now, Dicks has passed.

It is a little weird that we're the team that sorta pushed this to happen last year when we tried getting Keith Butler from Pitt, now we ended up with his teacher.

 

Getting the Williams brothers, Leonard and Dan, would immediately make our defense 100x better. Not to mention we have the inside track on Worilds. Get it done Ruston.
P.S. I realize Dan and Leonard aren't brothers.

 

Blaine was talking about this on the 3HL. The Steelers are a team that doesn't just let good coaches walk away. There has to be more to this story.
