The thing the Titans have going for them is Nashville. I've heard that Ruston really tries to sell the city when talking to FA's. The city helps sell the team for sure. I mean, would you rather live in Detroit or Nashville if the offers were the same? Another big thing is there is no state income tax in Tennessee, so 6 million in Nashville is a lot more money than 6 million in a state with a state income tax.

That's the hardest part... "Selling" the team. It's a major life decision for some of these athletes, especially if they have families.

Need to give a good sales pitch... I would probably suck in that aspect.

With the growth of Nashville, many athletes may choose us over somewhere else. But the team and fan support is so bad, and we're close to cleaning house again, so there's that.

At the same time, I think Nashville (and middle TN in general) is getting too big for its own good.

Traffic is the worst it's ever been. Even when I take I-65 North (from Cool Springs area) around 6-7pm, it's brutal. We're just not built for this crap.

I blame that damn Hayden Penattiere show.

Isn't it after Mike and Webster left SEA that they became good...

To my knowledge, they had very little to do with the team of the past 2 or 3 years we've become to know... Not sure how to really look at this team right now.

All I know is getting Lebeau and cutting Oher was a great start, still a lot to do though.

Try driving in 24 westbound during morning rush hour. I have to be downtown at 8:30 Monday morning. I am staying in a hotel tomorrow night to avoid the traffic...

Oh I'm aware... 65 North in the mornings is brutal as well.

I was just giving an example of how even I-65 northbound traffic is bad when it hasn't been an issue in the past. It's supposed to be 65 South that's busy from 4-7pm, not 65 North. But now it goes both ways, and even at 6-7pm 65 North can be pretty bad. Mostly due to the build up at the OHB exit.
