I just hope we aren't spending Porsche money to buy a few Hondas just because the previous owners likes the familiarity of the cars. I'm not sure Worilds is better or even as good as Morgan. And I don't really want to spend $10mil a year for 5-7yrs to find out.

The biggest thing that concerns me is not that he didn't play, but that he still has PAIN in his knee. I'm no expert on ACL/MCL tears but I'd HOPE you would no longer feel pain....?

I would rather bring back Morgan for a chunk of that than commit probably 6 years to a slightly better player. Morgan is a solid player, no reason in letting him leave town and thus creating another hole. What we should focus on is cutting Wimbley and getting a true pass rusher for that spot.

I have a friend who tore his almost two years ago and he still feels minor pain time to time.

I don't think that's uncommon... Depends how severe the pain is, I guess.

I agree with this, especially if we get a player on the opposite side of him that's a FORCE, I think would free Morgan up even more to make more plays. If we can land Justin Houston or draft Gregory or Ray, I'd be happy with that combo at OLB. We would still need depth there however.

Is nobody considering Knighton? Hes getting older but he can fill that NT spot quite nicely.

What would you be willing to pay him and for how many years? The problem is, signing a 29 or 30yr old for a 2-14 team is a bad idea unless he's cheap and a stop gap. I think Knighton will have better oportunities and probably wants to go where he can win at this stage of his career and we don't wanna pay a 29yr old a 6 or 7 yr contract for $6mil+ a year when he may not be worth it in another year or two.

I would look at the players I listed before and ONLY take a flyer on a guy like Knighton who deserves a chance to win but is kind of too old for where our team is. I have little faith in Webster's ability to get us a mega trade down deal in the draft and give a great 1 yr turnaround or I might be interested. but for what I expect from Webster, it's probably a wasteful sign.

I believe the Titans should go after the following free agents:

    Dan Williams NT, Cardinals
    Mark Ingram RB, Saints
    Michael Crabtree WR, 49ers
    Cecil Shorts III WR, Jaguars
    Jared Odrick DE/DT, Dolphins
    Pernell McPhee DE/OLB, Ravens
    Derrick Morgan OLB, Titans (resign)
    Rolando McClain ILB, Cowboys
    Byron Maxwell CB, Seahawks
    Walter Thurmond CB, Giants
    Kareem Jackson CB, Texans
    LaRon Landry SS, Colts (cut-candidate)

I like your list but the one main missing piece is no RT.

We have got to find a solid RT. Whiz has shown that he isn't really into giving his OL extra help by keeping a TE or RB in to block. No matter who our qb is if we want to have a vertical passing game we have to give him time to throw. IMO finding a RT is our number 1 priority in FA. We don't need to spend an early draft pick on OL. We need our draft picks to be spent trying to find play makers.
