I guess his presence brings a catalyst for culture change among the players. No doubt LeBeau a legend. Just hope we get his good stuff and not another check collecting effort like we've gotten from other premium acquisitions.

Horton was under LeBeau for many years. I think their preferred schemes are basically the same. Having two experienced coaches like we have should allow a greater teaching presence for younger players.

Definitely interesting, hope we get a lot of bang out of this.

Williams made some difference, maybe old Dick can do the same.

i mean, it's like us taking a 45 year old Brett Favre.. at that point in their career, they aren't at the same level as people want to believe.. same applies to a coach that is nearly 8 decades old.

I can't think Horton can feel good about it as it doesn't show much confidence in him.

Sort of the same vibe as when the Titans brought in Williams. Things seemed to change at the start of the season and then everything went back to the SOS.

Titans hired Dick LeBeau as assistant head coach/defense.
LeBeau will run the Titans' defense despite not having the title of defensive coordinator. DC Ray Horton will stay on staff, but is being demoted after opposing offenses ran through his unit for an average of 137-plus yards per game on the ground. The Titans also gave up the ninth-most passing touchdowns in 2014. LeBeau was the Steelers' defensive boss the previous 11 seasons, and Horton worked under him in Pittsburgh from 2004-2010. LeBeau's Steelers units were unimpressive the past couple years, but they were awfully old groups. There isn't much to build around in Tennessee aside from DL Jurrell Casey.Feb 3 - 8:09 PM

Stings for Horton but glad the Titans finally made a ballsy move and brought him in.

You think that? You dont think Horton campaigned for his guy? Horton isn't dumb, he knows he's still figuring it out. Having his old mentor back at his disposal is invaluable to a coach coming off a 2-14 season.

If youre Ray Horton, today is a good day.
