I am not one of those calling this the "worst call ever", but it certainly was a bad call IMO. My main beef with the call is that it took Seattle's two best offensive weapons (Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson in space) completely off of the table.

Great play by the DB, no question. But, why not go with the horses that brought you to that point? Just overthinking the situation IMO.

I think the Seahawks hurt worse:
    1. After the miraculous catch, everyone knew there was at least a 90% chance the Seahawks would win.
    2. After Lynch's run they knew there was a 99% chance they would win.
I.e. Only a horrible fluke could cause a loss. So Seahawks fans were already celebrating their 2nd consecutive championship and believing they were a dynasty.

The Titans on the other hand:
    1. Before the last play, Titan fans knew they had probably only a 50% chance at best of scoring a TD on the final play.
    2. Titan fans also knew even if they scored they still would probably only have perhaps a little over 50 % chance of winning the overtime because we would still need to win the coin toss, etc.
So Titan fans never really got to the point in that game where we were already celebrating the win. That's when it hurts the most, when you have already adjusted to the idea that you are the champion and its inexplicably snatched away.

I'm thankful that I haven't had to experience what the Seahawk fans did. But karma is a beach, Richard Sherman.

All solid reasons to think that but Seattle still has a window of time to get it done. If they end up how we did tho and never make it back to the SB after losing then Id side with you on this. We can revisit this thread in 4-5 years, their dynasty is still very much alive and well, ours never developed, thats crushing to fans.

If the question was which fans have it worse, then I would agree. But the point of the question is just the 'heat of the moment' emotions.

In the heat of the moment, I think the SEA fans had it worse ... after the game, when everyone can sit back and reflect on the team, then the Titans definitely had it worse.

After the Super Bowl loss... EVERY Titans' fan felt the window of opportunity had just opened.

Say otherwise, you are lying or speaking in hindsight.

I think we can add a few scenarios to this poll ... for instance:

    Which fan had it worse?

    A) Seahawks throwing at the 1
    B) Titans 1 yard short
    C) Broncos get absolutely blown out

I pick C ... at least all the other games were close and those team's fans could enjoy the SB until the very end.

It must've sucked to be a Broncos fan watching the game last year. You have the best team in the NFL and probably expect to win the SB. If someone had said that the game would be a blowout, then 99% of the Broncos fans probably would've thought that they were going to win.

But then the Broncos get blown out from the very 1st play ... they never had a chance to enjoy that game. I bet a lot of fans didn't even finish watching. Complete embarrassment.

And its not like they have the future to hang their hat on (like the Titans/Seahwaks). They hitched their wagon to a QB thats old as F*ck, and couldn't get it done.

There's just no way of navigating around the fact that Seattle owns a recent trophy and TN owns NONE.
The second is never as big as the first.

    TN's loss stings worse.

I agree. It wasn't the best call for the situation. Im only saying that if it worked, no one would even mention it. No one would say, "that was the worst call ever, but at least it worked".

Let's not forget that it wasnt the best players for either team that were the highlights of that game.
