Yeah at this point, there is no question Brady will be in the top 3 of all time after this, and who knows, he may add another one or two by the time he is done.

My view is that Brady can't top Montana at this point. Montana was perfect in his SB appearances. No ints, no losses.

i dont mean to argue Montana wasnt the star you say he was, but what great Defense did he beat?

Im semi jealous Im not old enough to really know Montana for all he was, but Brady is special, gotta give the guy credit.

Not that he faced them in the Super Bowl, but to give you perspective since the argument will be that Seattle has an all time great defense. Take a look at Monatana's record versus the 46 defense...Bears, Eagles, Oilers (maybe Cards)....wanna know what his record is? UNDEFEATED!!! At least that's what the announcers were telling us when he beat the Oilers in the playoffs with KC when Buddy Ryan was running the D that year.

Brady is a great QB. Certainly historically great and despite how important the team is, there aren't many QB's who have 4 rings and not even that many who have even gone to 4 SB's. Nothing to take credit away from him, but Montana was a magician in the SB and you just knew he'd find a way to win!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's hard to go wrong with any of these guys. it really depends on what you put your emphasis on (stats, rings, sb appearances, records set, stats/records set against level of competition, blah blah blah).

The one thing that stands out about Brady is he continues to win with no-name wr's and a rb of the month. He does have Gronk, but if you look back it will be difficult to name some of his wr's that are worth anything.

The year he had a true wr he threw for 50tds.

David Givens, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Deion Branch.

Most of them aren't Marvin Harrisons or Jerry Rices, but except for last year, he's always had a competent core of receivers.

Manning certainly had better weapons his whole career, Wayne, Harrison, E James, D Clark, all at the top of their position.

They both elevated their receivers' statuses.. but Wayne and Harrison would have been superstars on any team.. Gronk is the only person I could think of that would be a star on any team, that Brady has had as a target.

Moss Failed before and after NE, Ditto for Welker.

You can say the same for Rodgers and Brees as well.

yep. They have done well with less than others, for sure. Rodgers still needs some more playoff success, and I think Brees is just about fit to call it a career. I think he's done as a dominant QB.

Rodgers would benefit from having some stability in the short passing game. Unfortunately the NFC has been very competitive.
