Totally agree....I was actually about ready to post my expectation that the Pats start stopping the clock in order to give Brady more time, and then they did not do that. I thought Belicheck was nuts, but that is probably why he is where he is and I am posting here LOL.....

I don't like Belicheck at all, but you have to give him credit for that.

Don't know if anyone has posted yet, but here is Lane's arm when he went out of bounds.

Bottom line. Elite 100 million dollar qbs get the ball in their hands no matter what.

Unfortunately for Seattle they bought Wilson's hype as much as y'all did. That play was perfect foreshadowing. When its all on Wilson he gonna fail. When Seattle's constant success is on Wilson, not beast mode not the worlds greatest d, Seattle ain't gonna be a perennial playoff team.

I know this is off topic but this relates to a post I made previously. When I saw that the Seahawks were down by less than a touchdown with 2 minutes to play I told my wife that IMO there was a 99% chance the Seahawks would score a touchdown. Even though they didn't I think we all know they should have. The reason is because like I said in my previous post, it is virtually impossible to stop any NFL team with a halfway decent QB from scoring a touchdown in the last 2 minutes. The reason is because:

    1. The offense goes for it on all 4 downs of every series.
    2. Every play is usually a pass attempt and is usually for at least 10 yards.

In other words if you give any half decent QB at least 4 pass attempts of at least 10 yards they will always get at least one of them (except on rare occasions).

This begs the question of why don't teams do this throughout the entire game? If almost any QB can score a touchdown in the last 2 minutes why do they often go entire games scoring only one or two touchdowns until the last 2 minutes? In other words, if my theory is correct teams should never punt or run the ball. Just go for pass attempts of at least 10 yards for all 4 downs of every possession. I know that would be crazy when you are staring at a 4th and 10 from your own 20 but nevertheless statistically speaking it seems like you would be more successful never punting unless its 4 and >=20 or something.

Perhaps the reason teams dont do this throughout an entire game is because defenses play differently in the last 2 minutes because they know the offense is going to more aggressive. However if the defense knows you are going to be more aggressive throughout the entire game wouldn't the defense play you differently throughout the entire game too. Just my thoughts.

Actually I have heard of a private high school football coach who does this. He never punts and he goes for the onside kick every time. I believe he turned a losing school into a perennial winner. but I know that's just high school.

I was so sure they were going to score a touchdown that I would have actually considered not scoring as quickly if I were the Patriots on the previous series. I would have considered trying to leave them only <= 1 min even if that meant risking possibly not scoring. that's how easy I think it is to score a touchdown with just 2 min left.

    Wow. Awful.

It's a shame he couldn't have stayed in the endzone... it was so close, so I get why he took it out. I'd have to watch it again. It may have been too hard to stay in with his momentum taking him forward.

No doubt in my mind they win the game if Lane doesn't get hurt. Simon was horrible.

The Pats were the better team in the first half even though the score was tied, but the Seahawks started running away with it in the 2nd half, and Kearse dropping Wilson's dime (520 knows no such thing) was a killer.

There's also the obvious PI (by Butler) on the Seahawks second to last drive where he tripped Lockette. Horrible no call.

You also have Avril getting a concussion and leaving the game.

You also have Titans tackling by Seahawks all night long. Awful to watch.

So much went against the Seahawks. They had the game in the bag. They just gave it away.

Kearse also made a ridiculous 1 in a million catch so don't try to blame him.

So Seattle couldn't overcome the loss of labe and Avril....how they gonna overcome no lynch no Avril no Wagner no okung ...no Williams..
