I may be wrong about this, but I believe that Bob Griese threw 11 passes in his second Super Bowl win against the Vikings (back before you were born LOL). I have said before that RW reminds me a bit of Griese here, with the exception that he is a weapon with his legs as well at this point in his career.

Not flashy, but efficient and a good leader (like Griese was)....that is what I saw when he was in Madison, and that is what I see here.

 

I have no problem saying Wilson is good. Elite ? Worth the highest contract ever? Laughable top 10 qb? No.

 

I actually have not seen anyone say that Carroll holds him back. I don't think that this is the case. When you have a Marshawn Lynch it makes sense to ground and pound as a normal course.

However, it should be noted that, when time is short, RW can be pretty clutch. He has been that way since I started watching him at Wisconsin. He showed that in the NFC championship, and just a few minutes ago.

I think he can be elite, but I agree about the highest paid QB thing. I think that is more of a statement about the lack of good QB play in the NFL right now (need to fork out the dough to keep him, since he can get to elite status and most certainly has proven himself IMO).

 

This halftime show is a really dark moment for humanity.
