Or you can take the head of officiating Blandino's word for it, when he said there was only 1 play against the Colts where the Patriots had an illegal substitution that wasn't called because a player switched from eligible to ineligible on consecutive plays. If you consider that cheating, then all teams who commit holdings, illegal formations, pass inteference, etc. are cheating (which literally is ALL teams).

They said ONE play was illegal, because of a substitution infraction. All the other tackle eligible plays were perfectly legal. So all teams that have been called for 12 men on the field are cheaters too and should be punished?

I remember the Giants used to always take the side of the field in the sun on cold days leaving the visiting team in the cold. They also opened the doors during opposing teams field goal attempts and closed the doors on their own attempts. What about feild conditions? No team has ever used the home field to their advantage....... Here is a good quick read, there are many more than just these.

Careful now....it is well known (by many of the commenters in this thread anyway) that ONLY THE PATRIOTS engage in such shady practices. The rest of the league is beyond reproach in this regard. Don't mess with the Pats hate party here LOL...

Are suggesting the poor Deflatiots are being picked on, or that they're just not as good at cheating as other teams that aren't caught continually breaking rules?

I am suggesting exactly what I am (and have been) saying...the Pats, like all other teams in the league, find ways to game rules to their advantage. The reaction to this incident by the medua and the public has been way over the top and is basically obsessive. If the Pats actually are shown to have broken rules here that should be punished. If not, and people think that this is a big deal, the rule needs to be clarified.

I had read that all 12 were out of spec, with one being different than the others, but had not heard this. Interesting.....

Actually, I had also heard that the referee does not log pressures, so there is no documentation of what the balls supplied by the Colts measured before the game.

The only problem I have with Deflategate is that Brady/Belichick are clearly lying.

They ordered some poor ball boy to do it... and he'll take the fall. Hopefully he rats them out rather than completely falling on the sword, but that's a dangerous game as well.

This all started because the Colts are absolute babies... and the media has propelled this into a bigger deal than it is. As a result, the Pats are having to lie about it.

Take away their draft picks... we'll benefit from it.

But again, it doesn't tarnish Brady's legacy for me whatsoever.

What was your question? The above was proof that organic crowd noise and stereo controlled volum are not the same thing and I'm happy to see you agree. All teams have the same opportunity to dance, wave, or whatever to encourage fans to make noise. Everyone can do the same things but it is up to the FANS to do whatever they do. If it is controlled by a stereo, it is no longer organic and controlled by the team, not the fans. Big difference.

The effect is not the same but both teams have equal opportunity to encourage their fans but it is the FANS who have to make the noise.

You've said this twice now with no proof of a single play the titans ran that comes close to circumventing a rule?

By the letter of the rules, you could throw a flag on virtually every offensive plays, but this has nothing to do what we are discussing.

Holding is not trying to circumvent the rules by going around the letter of the law. Totally different thing.
