Walter Payton's dead. Shows what he knows.

I doubt we could get anything for him, but I'd try before outright releasing him. I'd sign McCourty and have Huff move to safety, then draft at least 1 CB possibly two. I like the way Huff plays and he's a sure tackler, something we haven't had at safety in a long time.

If Pollard goes out the door, what I'll miss is his hitting. When I'm watching this sorry excuse for a team and we're getting pounded, I can usually count on Pollard to knock somebody's teeth out. I've got to admit there is some satisfaction in that.

F*** it lets get two new safeties

    FS: Karl Joseph
    SS: Jaquiski Tartt

Sign back Wilson let him be a back-up FS/SS/NB.

Let Tartt and Stafford battle for the SS starting position.

Pollard knows he's done in a league where a SS has to cover.

At his age and coming off a major injury, I doubt he'd been paid $3.625 M this season anyway.

    It's time to move on.

    I would
I would have to disagree a bit. There is no shortage of money. Opposing teams fans will buy tickets, people who can't normally afford to go when the titans are good will go etc. If people just stop going, sooner or later we just wont have a team to go for because they will just move the team.
The other side of this is money doesn't matter in the draft, which is where good teams are made. Patriots, Packers, Cowboys, 49ers, Seahawks, Ravens, Steelers etc all draft well and develop and get the most out of their players. Case in point, Kapernick(sp?) and Wilson have played in Superbowls on their rookie contract making chump change.
We suck at drafting players and our coaching staff could take a team of pro bowlers and make them look like the Gators against Georgia St two years ago.

People thought I was blowing smoke out my ass when throughout the last half of the season I said I had a friend telling me that half the locker can't stand Whiz and the way they are treated.

I said expect players to want to be released, possibly ask to be traded and/or if contracts come up and Whiz is still in the building to not even think about signing back with the team.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I dont know why everybody is hating on Pollard. I loved the guy, was one of few players who actually seemed to give a ****. Yes he had a ton of penalties, but sometimes you gotta lay somebody out and set an attitude. We knew he sucked in coverage before coming to TN. Hope the dude finds success elsewhere.

So now what do we do with Pollard gone, I say give the job to Stafford. Stafford showed some promise and started earning PT. We just have so many other holes to fix before we focus on SS. I'd say give it to Stafford, if he sucks, look at safety early in the 2016 draft. Have to build up the front 7 before we worry about a strong safety, that's my attitude.
