If you want Tomlinson, you better spend a 2nd rnd pick. Most think Mason needs to play C because he has short arms. Arguably the best OG's...Tomlinson, McCann and Tre' Jackson should all go in the 1st or more likely 2nd along with Erving and say Lael Collins who could play RT or OG.

The Dallas game was early in the season so we definitely had run fit issues in that game and Williamson wasn't starting yet so we basically had a hole at ILB. In the Pitt game, we had major tackling problems. Another reason I'd like a new FS and OLB's and possibly an upgrade over Woodyard.

Even with those games, the Titans were in the middle of the pack with ypc against. And some of that was due to also getting gashed more late when our D spent the whole day on the field.

To bring you up to date, Orakpo was out 14 games in 2012 due to a torn left pectoral muscle. He was out 9 games THIS year with a torn RIGHT pectoral muscle. He's played in 24 of the team's last 48 games and his serious injuries are things that are part of his job. He will be 29 before the season starts. Injured twice and 1 year away from 30 = no thank you!!!

Cobb is a good WR who will get paid #1 money for his youth and production with the greatest QB in the NFL throwing him the ball. Last time I checked, Aaron Rogers isn't our QB. Again, we will drastically overpay for a serious drop in production. Not how you get away from wasteful spending (see Levitre, Oher, Wimbley, Griffin, etc).

Iupati is too much money? We spent almost as much for Levitre and he stinks. We paid Oher a fortune for his poor play. Another mill is too much for a good player?

And we will see if Houston, Dez or Thomas are available. If they are, we should go after them. It's actually cheaper than over-spending on mid-tier free agents who are only mediocre...or WORSE!

What is a big time playmaker? Watch some highlight reels of Bryant, Thomas, or Houston!

Please explain WHY we can not sign 4 super star players....

I have done the Math. And if you're good at Math, you'll see that several mediocre over-paid players is not gonna get you anywhere unless you can sign those guys and turn them into Pro Bowl caliber talent (see Seattle).

And yes, if you take a guy who made less than a mill in 2014 and now are gonna sign him for 3-4mil per year...that's tripling or quadrupling the salary, right?

It's how you end up with this kind of salary cap waste...

We have 3 players with an 8mill+ cap hit....2 of them should be cut and are below avg players.

We have 1 player with a 6mil+ cap hit...who is arguably the best player on the team.

We have 2 players with 5mil+ cap hits...1 of whom needs to be cut.

We have 4 players with 4mil+ cap hits...3 of whom should be cut.

Of those 6 players that should or will be cut, 5 of them were mid-tier free agent signings. And for those keeping score...that's about $22.3mil in wasted cap space.

Now I don't know about you, but I'd rather have Justin Houston and Devin McCourty taking up that $22.3 mil rather than below avg players being overpaid.

The above shows a terribly poor record in signing mid tier free agents...and yet this is the course you think we should take?

Because we're the Titans? Nobody wants to play for this franchise right now.

As mentioned before, we don't need to eliminate players ourselves telling ourselves we stink. Not every player will be available and not every player...even if we have the highest financial offer will want to come here. So what.

There are many players who want the BIG MONEY contract!!! Let's see if we can grab 4 of them. I don't want 4 guys im overpaying at $6mil a year only to find on our team they are Levitre or Oher. Get me guys who ARE the Super star players and make the whole team better. At least show the fans we are going after the BEST because we will not settle for being a league doormat for the next few years!!!

Time for Tommy to put up or shutup. If he's expecting playoffs next season, mid-tier guys aren't gonna do it. Not with this coaching staff!

I like the attitude, but keep dreaming man. If we signed 1 superstar player o would be thrilled.
