He should have gotten rid Johnson of a year earlier to get the most out of him since everyone knew we would not resign him another bad decision on his part which seems a pattern for him. Take a close look at the teams he has worked for since being in the league and then tell me how good he is. So you think getting rid of Ayers was a good idea how did that work out for us?

Chris Johnson should have been traded a year earlier because everyone knew that we would not resign him. We should have kept Cook, Ayers and Verner but we decided to let these players go and keep the crappy ones. The one thing I know about Webster is that he does not like to pay for talent.

The OL has been Webster's biggest debacle since he has been here.

2 1st round picks, a 4th round pick, and 2 expensive FAs ... and it still is one of the worst in the league.

I know there were a lot of injuries last year on the OL, but I think he has 1 year to get it fixed or he will be done.

Lewan was a great start ... Warmack still might be able to pan out, but Webster has got to hit on his next 2 OL, whether in draft of FA

With that thought in mind, I'm warming up to the idea of trading back with the Browns, if we can get both their 1st round picks plus their 2nd this year and next. That would give us #12, & #19. Shelton would not go #2 overall, and I cant see any 4-3 picking him up that early either. #13 would be a good spot for him. The pick @ 19 would give us a lot of options as well. We could trade back further and target Cameron Erving out of FSU, or we could stay put and take a player like Bud Dupree out of Kentucky.

True, but we did nothing about it. We just gave it to BWW. That was a mistake IMO

He does not like to pay free agents but at this point we need to bring in a few to get us over this hump until our draft prospects start to learn the system.

    Oh yea, BIG mistake!

What makes it worse is fans were screaming for a CB in free agency or high in the draft, Webster ignored us. That and not addressing pass rusher are the two things that I throw at Webster when slinging criticisms around. But thats really where it ends from me, I think outside of those 2 mishaps, he's been solid. Jeff Fisher left us in a really lousy place when Webster took over. Probably shouldnt have taken 5 years to fix but I dont see many bad teams from then competing now.

If you dont have a QB youre going to stay bad.

NO real news here, but discussion worthy none the less:

ESPN's Adam Schefter says there's a "real sense" Tampa Bay has its sights set on Oregon QB Marcus Mariota at No. 1 overall.

I hope this is true, that leaves Winston for us.

FA aside for a moment, assuming we trade back with the Browns, and then later in the first with the Cards (from 19 to 23), I wouldn't mind seeing this:
    • #12 (from Browns) - Kevin White - WR - WVU
    • #23 (from Cards) - Cameron Erving - G/OT - FSU
    • RD2 #33 - Nate Orchard - OLB/DE - Utah
    • RD2 #47 (from Browns) - Bernardrick McKinney - ILB - MSU
    • RD3 #66 - Ifo Ekpre Olomu - CB - Oregon (was a 1st round pick before injury)
    • RD3 #87 (from Cards) - Shaq Mason - G - GT
    • RD4 - Henry Anderson - DE - Stanford
    • RD5 - David Cobb - RB - Minnesota (he may be gone at this point)
    • RD6 - Ryan Delaire - OLB - Towson (someone mentioned him earlier and I like this guy and his upside as a late pick)
    • RD6 - Sean Mannion - QB - Oregon State (don't like this pick but part of me says our HC is going to want another QB late that fits his style)
This mock assumes we addressed RT, OLB, NT, and S in FA.
