Look at all the best pass rushers, anything in common? The other guy opposite is good too.

Green Bay has Peppers and Matthews, who do you stop?
Kansas City has Justin Houston and Tamba Hali, who do you stop?
Baltimore has Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumerville, who do you stop?

    You obviously get the point.

OLB is 2nd on my list of things to do followed by CB, then NT if we have time.

Thats all we gotta do to sure up the D, fix 2 gaping holes and wa-la. NT and FS are down a ways on my list.

    Speaking of OL & DL

Make Bulaga the highest paid RT in the game ($7.5M avg/year would do it). RT position fixed. I love Roos and have enjoyed him being a Titan, but I've come to the conclusion he doesn't need to be a RT on our team next year. He has been slipping as a run blocker for years and I feel that needs to be a strength of a RT.

Sign Dan Williams to a competitive contract. Not a pass rusher but one of the best run pluggers at his position. 3-4 run D starts with the NT. I'm down with Shelton as a backup option in the draft, but I'd hate to use a top 10 pick on a NT.

I've seen this mentioned in other posts as well, but I really like Cameron Erving (G,OT,C) out of FSU, especially if we happen to trade way down into the 1st. The guy can play every position on the line at a high level. If Levitre is cut, Erving can slide into LG. If we keep Levitre or find another LG, he can play RT if we don't sign Bulaga. If we sign a RT/LG he can push Schwenke to be the starting center. At worst he would be our back-up swing tackle, which we learned this past year is actually a critical position.

While I'd love to have him in two tone blue, I just don't see NE letting him walk.

A few under the radar guys who we could target if we miss one a bit higher $ guys or don't want to spend the money

BJ Raji- coming off a season ending injury and didn't play well last season. Still a huge clog in the middle and would be able to help with the run if we miss on Dan Williams

Kareem Jackson, Chris Culliver and Perrish Cox- not the best cb's, but had solid years and wouldn't cost high $. Culliver is my favorite who is crazy fast and only been a starter for one year and excelled.

Jabaal Sheard- Been a backup for the first 4 years and got 23 sacks. Didn't have a great year this year, but not many outside Joe Haden did. Could be a cheap 3/4th olb with good potential if we don't resign Morgan

Walter Thurmond- Another coming off season ending injury. Should come cheap and be good depth and compete with BWW and Coty

Brandon Spikes and Bruce Carter- Spikes was very popular last year and had a decent season. They both would be our run stuffing LB who can tackle. Though we would have to cut Woodyard first and I don't see that happening

Brandon Graham- One I like the most. Hardly played in Philly and recorded 14 sacks. He would be cheap and be perfect 3rd or 4th olb.

Cecil Shorts- Very good wr who killed us. Don't see him staying in jax, I liked him as an option after Cobb.

Raheem Moore and Da'Norris Searcy- Good younger players who would be cheaper than Devin McCourty. Searcy had 3 picks and 0 touchdowns thrown against him.

Clint Boling- LG who has played solid for Bengals and who would be cheaper

Hope we bring in some of these guys.

    Especially corners.

What we went into the season with last year was honestly inexplicable.

No on Cobb (Rodgers makes him look good), Orakpo (too old and injured and you're paying for past production...see Wimbley), McPhee (um...no), Knighton (not our biggest problem), Williams (see Knighton), Parnell (...why?).

Our 5 biggest issues are LG, RT, OLB (possibly x2), FS, and WR. We need to look for IMPACT young superstar players going for their first BIG contract (they want the big bucks). I don't want slightly above average players who play better when surrounded by better talent and we get to overpay for them to be average with our roster.

Go after Dez or Thomas...they are big, fast, strong WR's in ANY offense! Justin Houston...yes please! McCourty...yes please! Iupati for LG...yes please!!!

If Dev comes here it is BECAUSE griff is gone. We are not spending $17mil in cap space on 2 S's. $12mil would be bad enough. Griff is not gonna suddenly improve his tackling in year 9 of his career!!! Doesn't happen. He is what he is. And while I give him a lot of props for playing hurt...especially in a lost season...he's simply not worth the money he's getting nor the cap hit.

This is how you end up with good teams staying good and bad teams staying bad and Webster as your GM 'making moves' that don't help us a lot!

So most of these guys are untested or worse and you want to pay them triple or quadruple their salaries and hope they get significantly better? this is how you end up with levitre, oher, wimbley, blah blah blah who are overpaid and aren't positive contributors!!!
