Foles and a 1st is the absolute minimum I think it would take for the Titans to even entertain the thought of a swap.

Foles and the Eagles' 2015 and 2016 firsts... now that could actually make it happen.

Foles and Mett in a competition isn't the worst idea I've ever heard.

Also, man does it ever suck that the Titans are basically facing the most important decision they will make this decade and Ruston Webster is the guy making the call.

My biggest fear is them holding onto the #2 spot and then taking a WTF type guy there. Top picks in each round, plenty of money to spend, he cannot afford to come up empty handed.

I think that's easily the most likely outcome.

We all know the (unconfirmed) story about how they had a deal with the Browns on the table to trade back last year and instead panicked and selected Lewan even though they probably could have moved back a bit and still got him. I have zero faith Webster can close a deal with the pressure on.

I agree. No other GM believes for a minute we are going to take Mariota. The only trades that make sense would be Rams to jump Jets but they could do that with the Skins.

There just aren't any high probability "decade" talents in the top of this draft class

We don't necessarily have to sell that we are going to take Mariota (assuming he's not taken first) in order to get a team to trade up with us. Other teams could be worried the teams AFTER us are going to take him, so we are in the best position for them to trade up and get ahead of everyone else. Also, one of the QBs isn't the only player that teams are willing to trade for. Last year Buffalo moved up to take Watkins, the year before Miami moved up to take Jordan.

I agree. IF there is real interest in teams drafting / trading up for Mariota, then we need to use that to our advantage.

We need the Eagles to think that we could be working a deal with the Rams/Jets ... we need the Jets to think we are working a deal with the Rams/Eagles ... we need the Rams to think we could be working on a deal with the Eagles/Jets.

Also, I don't think that its impossible for other teams to think we might draft Mariota. Most people look at this team and see that we have no QB ... with a top 2 pick, and no QB it won't be that hard to convince people we are going after QB.
