Not true....just because one team does something a certain way (interpreting a vague rule one way) does not in any way give any basis to assume that all teams follow suit. They are obligated to follow the rules.....period. How they execute it is up to them, as long as it is within the rules. If this interpretation allows for excessive gaming of the situation resulting in an unfair advantage for one team, the rule needs to be changed...which may be the case here.

We crossed that border a few pages back LOL....clearly in obsessive hate territory at this point. Really irritating for me too....I dislike Belicheat as well, and find myself having to defend him here....Ewwww.

Maybe Belicheat told ball boy to hang onto those balls at all costs but ball boy had to drop a deuce. So...

All I have to say is, even though Deflategate is lame, it's more exciting than 99.5% of the usual pre-Super Bowl interviews/talking heads/promoting I've been tuning out since 2001.

Yes, the point IS that it's a matter of degrees. If the Pats balls were measured at 12.5 and the balls only deflated from temperature, this is a non-story. But if you do something to the ball to game the system so you get it way below the minimum while fooling the officials, you gone several degrees past innocent.

There no rules tegarding fan noise and every team gets the same opportunity for crowd noise. How would that be gaming the system since there is no rule to 'game .'

The assertion you make about tampering with the balls is nowhere near proven though....so it is a non-story. If all they have is a video tape of the attendant spending 90 seconds in a bathroom the proof is so flimsy that a light breeze will break it.

Again, as with your example, just because there is not a clear rule about fan noise does not mean that it is not cheating to amp up your home crowd to the point that your opponent cannot function effectively (by your logic anyway).

Innocent until proven guilty does not apply in sports. Every sport has a code of conduct and some have ethics agreements. Circumstantial evidence can be applicable. That being said I still think nothing will come of this.

Agree, but this does not even approach that standard IMO. I don't even see any circumstantial evidence that passes a sniff test here (not with me anyway).

What I see is an organization's admittedly spotty past influencing peoples' perception of what happened here to the point of obsession....JMHO.

Anybody with an ounce of common sense knows that the Pats did what they are charged with. It's probably not as big a deal as it's made out to be, but the organization is making total fools of themselves with all the denial. Just admit it and move on already.
