For the sake of my dynasty FF team, Philly please keep Foles.

Unless, of course, they want to trade up to #2 for Mariota.

Either that, or getting future backups named Mariota or Winston. Not much choice.. good QBs are too hard to find, I've given up hope.

Foles is worth a 6th round pick at best. Chips system made him look good. Hell it made sanchez look pretty good. It would be a waste to g wet him in any trade. I am all for trading the pick to philly, but they'll have to sell their soul to get that #2 Pick.

    Foles, a 2nd and a 6th to move 18 spots.
I'd say it's a lot more realistic than expecting a Ricky Williams dream trade.

This is exactly right ... Titans have been stuck in mediocrity for so long that I think that mindset has taken hold of the fans as well. We have a opportunity to really try to leverage our pick and another teams' interest in a particular player to pull off a huge deal, but we as fans seem to think so low of ourselves that we would be willing to give that up for almost nothing.

I can't imagine what Belichick would get out of this pick ... but because we are the Titans, we can't expect anything more than peanuts.

We will never get anything with that mindset. We have the #2 pick ... no one else does. We have to stick to our guns and ask for whatever we want. Hold it as ransom. If the eagles want Mariota, threaten to trade the pick to the Jets or take Mariota ourselves. If they really want him that bad, then they will cave. If they don't, who cares we still have the #2 overall pick and should be able to get a great player.

That is our leverage. We can't give that leverage up. You seem to just want to fold and take whatever you can get. Its not the Titans job to make a 'fair' deal. It is their job to take advantage of the situation ala RGIII.

We need to have enough balls to stick to our guns and not let any other team dictate what we do with the pick.

Precedent has been set for trading up in the top of the 1st for a player (I showed those examples earlier), if we take something that doesn't compare to that, then the Titans will be the chumps in all of this.

The only thing that matters is if TN is willing to go as far as physically drafting Mariota to force a heavy handed trade to happen.
Nobody has a problem reaching for the sky, but there is what could happen and what will happen. As is most often the case, they are not the same things.

I would not take the deal Cruds suggested. But if we swapped, got Foles, picked up a 2016 1st rounder, and some latter round picks... I think that is about as good of a trade as could get done. Maybe we can add in either a 2nd round in 2015 or 2016.

I just don't see getting much more than that as very realistic.

Don't want Foles. He's not significantly better than Mett IMO.

Eagles can't make it happen- let the idea go they can go #20 to #2. And honestly- do we REALLY want to pick at @#20?

I'll say again. We are going to have to pick Mariota at #2 and trade him later if we are going to parlay our #2 pick into anything. Jets and Rams will call the bluff- they won't trade for the pick. But they probably WILL trade their pick for Mariota once we have him off the board. That includes Eagles possibly working 2 trades to get Mariota from us.

It's a very high risk/reward move, but honestly the only one that allows us to parlay the #2 pick. Mariota just isn't that special.

Otherwise- we are going to have to get comfortable reaching for Williams, Cooper or OLB.

I just think The Eagles would be off their freaking rockers to dump an additional 1st on Mariota. I think they'll offer less and stick to it.
It's unfortunate that they are so low.. Browns have two firsts. Would be nice to have them. Jets pick 6th and it would be nice to take their 2nd..
    Draft Mariota and dangle him..

if we're sitting at 2 and Winston goes off the board at #1, we can't get anyone to bite on a trade, I let the clock expire and drop down a couple spots and take BPA. Sh1t would hit the fan and Teams would start freaking out!!

I don't think you can draft a player you truly don't want in the hopes of trading him later, too risky.
