Probably not. I'd rather use a 4th-5th on a RB than risk it on Andrews. RB crop is deeeep this year, we screwed up by using a 2nd on Sankey last year. This is the year for RBs. Could of grabbed Melvin Gordon or Gurley potentially in the 2nd this year. Could land somebody like David Cobb or Jeremy Langford in the 4th.

We have to fix this OL first though, nobody is going to be productive behind it as it stands now.

Bigger backs that make their own yards are the only ones this current oline could be any good with, Im not even interested in anyone under 220, so no to Langford and Gordon. No knock on them, just prefer we get a big RB that compliments our 2 smaller sized guys here now.

    Two guys I like then:

David Cobb (MIN) - 4th rounder
Dominique Brown (LOU) - 5th rounder

    Two solid options.

I think we all had Hill on our radar, but we could do this with so many players its sickening.

I agree. I remember a bunch of us liking Hill's size and running style. I understood the Sankey pick, and I still have hope he can get better. That said, it still hurts

Do you consider Leonard Williams a pass rusher? or do you only mean OLB pass rushers?

I don't like to be so position specific because that's how you take a Dante Fowler and pass on a Leonard Williams. Is the difference between Fowler or Dupree really that great from taking Mauldin in rnd 2? Certainly not the difference between LW and any DE in rnd 2.

CB is a position of scarcity in this draft if you are looking for a legit #1 guy. probably have to spend our first or second round pick unless you take a later shot at Marcus Peters or later in a Nick Marshall to develop.

The trenches and pass rush are more important than CB. You can hide an avg CB with a nice pass rush (and I don't mean blitzing everyone and going cover o)! I'd rather take another pass rusher or OL or DL than reach for a CB. We have lots of holes and lots of positions that could really use an upgrade. Don't want us reaching!!!

To me, RB is way down the list of preferred upgrades. I think if we get the OL fixed, ppl will be happy with Sankey being our primary RB with DMC spelling him. Could take a big back late or even an undrafted free agent with the way RB is so devalued now.

With that said, I would not be shocked if Whiz went all in in fixing the offense with a WR in rnd 1 and RB in rnd 2. IF they wanted to go this route, I sure hope we fixed at least 1 OL spot in free agency, got Houston at OLB, maybe Devin McCourty too and then traded back in round 1 with say the Jets.

At 6 we could drop back again or go with say...Devante Parker. I'm expecting Dallas will take Gurley so at #33, we could take Melvin Gordon. Fixed OL would open up running holes and having a big WR to compliment Hunter and Wright could go a long way to fixing this offense and giving Mett his best opportunity!

Who was the last rookie QB that was successful on a ****** team? How many first round QBs were ruined because they had to start on ****** teams behind crappy O-lines and no WRs?
Drafting Winston or Mariota at #2 would be another reach for a QB after the VY and Locker fiasco.
