That's really why I bring him up.

We have two starters for sure on the o-line right now; Lewan and Warmack. Levitre, Schwenke and Oher were all bad last year. There is no way around it. They took turns screwing up, as did Fat Chance, but we're stuck with him.

You bring in Erving at 33 and put him at the position that hasn't been filled.

Everyone says they're good with Mett as the QB next year. Mett can't move. We need to be solid up the middle for that guy to even have a chance.

He's not great tho, and if we can upgrade we absolutely should. I'm not saying make it a priority, but don't cheat the team out of getting better. Schwenke is an ok center, but as important as Oline is, we can't keep featuring only ok players there. If he doesn't make major strides in 2015 we need to address the position.

Mett on a good day can't run, the Mett we saw all of 2014 was something else. With a full year to recover from his knee injury he may improve from what you saw this year. A better center would certainly help the cause tho.

Agree but Schwenke will be the C until his contract id done. I just dont see putting an upgrade on a average/above average starter as a smart use of a draft pick this year.

but RW seems to love reaching for OL so who knows

Center should be a high priority. Bad center play is the main reason our entire OL looks so bad.

I'm not 100% comfortable with Schwenke, but so many positions we potentially need to address before C:

    time share RB
    #2/3 WR
    backup TE
    RT
    1/2 OLB
    #2 CB
    At least 1 S

I rate C/Schwenke as much as a need as NT or DE and 1 S pos. (Schwenke, Lee Hill, Griffin/Pollard all serviceable)

All I'm saying is getting the best guy at his position at 33 ain't bad, especially when we don't have an established starter at three of the positions on the o-line.

I think center is a pretty underrated position. We just take it for granted because ever since we had this team we have rotated out tons of Cs with success.

Time share rb... Are you trolling?

That's all we have is mediocre time share rbs. The titans drafted a complete tweener lemon in Sankey.

Would be curious to see a stat on rbs who suck their rookie years and make a big jump second year.
