    Other good docos:

"Print The Legend"- (Netflix original doco)
LOTS of parallels drawn between former MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis and Steve Jobs in this doco about desktop 3D printing startups. I am a bit fascinated by this revolutionary tech, and watching the magic and excitement in it's young architect's faces slowly turn to disdain and horror as the realities of corporatism set in was entertaining to me.
    Not a date film. 7/10

"Beware Of Mr. Baker" - A young man interviews eccentric genius drummer/wacko Ginger Baker and promptly gets hit in the nose with a cane. Slow in parts, but interesting for people who GAF about classic rock people.

All in the same vein and all great: "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown"; "Twenty Feet From Stardom"; "Muscle Shoals". Looking forward to seeing "The Wrecking Crew" even though Carol Kaye has exhibited open disdain for it as the band was never called that, most of the stories are BS and it's basically a Hal Blaine ego trip.

I just watched Print the Legend the other day. Pettis came off like a big time self-serving douche IMO. I don't think he's actually as similar to Jobs as much as he wants to be similar to Jobs.

    American Sniper - 9/10

Brutal... Not sure how much of it was accurate and how much was just Hollywood, but I loved it either way. I thought Eastwood was fair with the movie, but I'm sure many will be appalled with some of the content even though it's a reality.

On a side/random note, I found it funny that the actor who played Bradley Cooper's brother was the creepy gay guy from Wedding Crashers (which was the first thing I saw Cooper in).

    Foxcatcher - 8.5/10

I honestly had higher hopes for it. Knowing the story before going into the movie took away from a lot of the suspense for me, I guess. It moved really slow IMO. That doesn't take away from the job Steve Carrell did with that role though. He's awesome. From Michael Scott to John du Pont. Funny... he's now played a forty year old virgin in two different movies. Du Pont is one weird dude.

IMO both Carrell and Cooper should be up for best actor whenever they're eligible. If Cooper can be nominated for best actor in Silver Linings Playbook, he should be nominated for this one. Not hating on SLP... just saying his performance wasn't anything special to me in that movie.

I haven't paid enough attention to movies for the past year, so I'm a bit out of the loop. 2013 was a great year for movies though... I saw pretty much everything worth seeing.

Still need to see Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, and Interstellar.

BC's performance in SLP was pedestrian to say the very most about it. No reason he should have been nominated.

This role in Sniper actually looks like he finally lives up to hype that's been unjustified to this point.

Interstellar on IMAX was cool, saw that a few days ago. Thats the kind of movie IMAX was made for, loud, bigger than life scenes, good story too.

Been holed up in a Fl hotel for the past week and have watched some flicks on the hotel Low-Def $19.99
    squashed-perspective pay TV service.

First up was Dumb and Dumber To.
No surprises here - a smaller version of the first movie. Reasonable amount of Jim Carrey chuckles..

Next night - St. Vincent, which felt like a Terry Zwigoff flick with a slightly more tragic main character than Bad Santa. I think Naomi Watts goes full gash mode for a moment in this one. Bad picture on the TV so I can't be sure..

And finally John Wick, which was pretty much an updated Steven Segal flick without Steven Segal. Loads of mindless choreographed shooting and all the typical cliched characters you would expect.

All the cliches you would expect in a choreographed shoot em up flick.
