What does the QB landscape look like next year? Maybe it is a good thing Winston is coming out now.. bad rap and all

Or these midgets need shorter toilets. I'd have to be wearing Capris or be using Paul Bunyan's toilet, for my shorts to rub on the toilet.

A caller on the zone this morning made the best argument against us drafting any QB early that I've heard yet. He said we are focusing too much on which QB the Titans might take and aren't focusing on the fact that Whisenhunt will be the one that has to develop them. His argument was, Whis hasn't proven that he can develop a QB, so taking one early is a huge risk, no matter how good the player is.

I hadn't thought about it from that perspective and I'm not sure if he's changed my mind that we should draft Mariota or Winston, but it was an interesting argument.

    Ben Roelisberger?

Whisenhunt can win when he gets a top tier QB.

It doesn't look fantastic but there will be some surprises and Cook of course will be the top Sr QB entering the 2016 draft atm. Doesn't have a Manziel, but maybe that's a good thing. Way to early to tell but no Winston coming off his first starting year or Luck going into his Sr season.

It's much better than this year. As Gut said, Cook is going to go high. I really like him. Also there will be Christian Hackenburg (PSU), Dak Prescott (Miss. St), and Cody Kessler (USC). All probably will go 1st round if they play up to their potential this next year.

Most of those guys, with the exception of Prescott are pocket passers. That's why trading down this year and getting another 1st round pick in 2016 could be huge, it's ammo to move up to get the guy we want.

Prescott is Tebow 2.0. And I wouldn't put those guys above Jameis or Mariotta. I'm not getting the idea that next years class is full of all these gem qbs.

We need a franchise QB in place. Either roll with Mett and his zero wins, draft a new one or just toil in purgatory until next year. The NFL has simply become best qb teams get to playoffs every year.

If we are looking at just players, yes, I'd include those guys (though Hackenberg had a bad 2014) plus perhaps Braxton Miller, Boykin, and Hogan though most of the QB's are 6'2 or shorter (except Cook, Hogan).

Blake Bortles came out of nowhere...someone frequently does. Maybe it'll be hackenberg having a bounce back season. I could definitely see Cook and Miller being next years Winston and Mariota. But a good chance we'll see some others and don't rule out guys like hundley and Petty in this draft impressing!

This is the perception, but it is incorrect when applied to facts.

There are 7 QB's that had QB ratings over 90 that did NOT go to the playoffs so it is not simply the best QB's carry their teams into the playoffs. You need a TEAM to do that or the same QB's would be in the playoffs every year, right? And yet, they don't.
