Not to mention Zeke Elliot running for over 200 yards per game doesn't hurt if you're the QB.

Jones can be something, but he leaves a lot to be desired, if his first read is covered he tucks it and runs way too soon. In the NFL he wont be able to bully LB's for 1st downs.

Id gladly have him on the team (late round) but he isn't ready for 2015 in the NFL.

I watched him against Wisconsin trying to break down his game. The Bama game I was too emotional to really focus (also looking at a lot of things live) and well, had too many beers last night.

What I've seen so far is this: He's very strong built and athletic QB. Whenever he's in a sticky situation he can use his athleticism to take off or keep plays alive. He's not exactly a fast QB but he's able to knock down smaller LBs or push the pile for an extra yard or two. He has a big arm obviously. What I like most about him is his vision on the run. A couple times last night he escaped a collapsed pocket, got away from a defender and delivered a strike 20+ yards downfield. He makes the smart play, haven't seen him try to fit a ball in too many times yet. He's very tall so he can see the entire field after a snap but his footwork is pretty erratic. This will be his major hang up before he can start in the NFL. Has a bit of a wind up on his delivery but that's probably fixable. Impressive deep ball accuracy as well, he can place the ball anywhere.

Again the major issue will be his footwork. If you go back and watch his passing plays, the easy completions that should've been made failed because of how his feet were set. Also, he needs to read the field quicker. He'll sit back in the pocket forever, NFL he'll have no where the same amount of time.

He tore up an overrated Wisconsin team, beat an Alabama team that choked the game away and beat an Oregon team who has never been a defensive threat. That opinion will never change for me. The impressive part is only starting 3 games and he looks like a Senior on the field. He gets it. But I'm not going to beg for the guy because he took advantage of his situation.

He's not coming out, doesn't matter. He's already said "in my personal opinion, I'm not ready for that level"

For the NFL, yes. The decision to transfer can't be put off too much longer though.

For Miller it might not matter as much because he won't be able to throw until June anyway.

He'd have been better off just saying he's returning to school. I don't like the way he said that.
