he definitely does, if you including what people say on twitter, nearly everyone in any public spotlight gets more than they deserve. But Winston certainly gives them alot to go after.

Asshats on twitter are going to say what they say, that's why I don't have an account, but I'd expect more from people in the public eye.

Jameis actually had a person accuse him of something very major and several other REALLY stupid and immature things. You included something Cam "did" that had no accusers, evidence, or proof other than sensational media attacks.

The other difference between the two is Cam actually had to learn from his one mistake and take actual punishment. Jameis was enabled and coddled and hasn't shown any maturity whatsoever or that he has changed any.

Cam had the laptop thing in October 2008 and was drafted in 2011 with no issues between the two. Jameis last did something stupid what, 3 whole months ago?

Oh and Cam never threw 17 picks in a season against terrible ACC defenses either. Wait, he had one in the semifinal so make that 18.

As I've said in other threads, if Jameis is a Titan next year then I won't be as long as he is on the roster so it isn't something I have to get used to.

Jake Locker had terrible stats in college and had no business being drafted that highly and it was obvious at the time. He still threw less INT's a year than Jameis though.

Were the media reports incorrect that Winston had even more signed items(in the thousands of almost identical items) by the same seller as Gurley?

I think it is a stupid NCAA rule, but that at the very least seemed more than circumstantial. Who would freely sign thousands of jerseys/helmets/footballs for one person at once and not get paid for it?

All of you who keep saying "If we take Winston I'll no longer be a fan" need to get over yourselves. If you're that fickle then go ahead and cheer for someone else. The organization is bigger than any one player. And I'm sure all of you would be right back on this board if Winston started winning games.

Well, there was no seller. There was an authenticator who just said that in their opinion the items were signed by both players. What the media didn't bother reporting with the same zeal was that another authenticator rejected some of the Winston items because he thought they were questionable signatures.

Also, someone accused Gurley of taking money and he confessed. No entity other than ESPN involved Winston. That's why the investigation went no where. If Winston says he didn't take money and there is no actual accusation then what are they supposed to investigate?

The only reason ESPN brought up Winston was to gain ratings. That's all that was talked about leading up to the Notre Dame. That ended up being the highest rated game up to that point in the season and nothing was mentioned the week after the game.

Oh ya it was the authenticator, my bad I remember that now.

Gurley was stupid for admitting it and he did have the seller publicly saying he did it which didn't help him.

The Winston piece seemed convenient certainly but not on the level of Gurley by any means and no real evidence on that one for sure.
