The value of #1 and #2, IMO, are higher this year then previous if both Winston/Mariota declare because of the drop off in talent after that. Whose next up? Hundley, Greyson, Petty, Mannion? Nothing wows me about that list they are all 2nd to 3rd day picks. If you pass on Winston/Mariota you will be stuck in another year of QB purgatory. Not saying they are sure picks and the rest are busts. The last couple years have been a drag for qb's.

I think a realistic trade is the Jets giving us their first and 2nd this year and their first in 2016.

For the Eagles to trade up they'd have to give us more because of how far we'd have to drop down. I see them having to give up 1st and 2nd in 2015,2016 and their 1st in 2017.

I don't like the idea of dropping to #20 but the return on investment is epic.

Winston's stock is going to rise. If Webster can't negotiate a trade down he has to nail it in FA. Something I think he'll struggle with because we are such a bad team. We likely have to overpay to get anyone other than McCourty to come here.

How would people feel if we held the No2 pick and didn't take one of the two top QB's? Would Webster have blown it?

Well if they think Williams is our guy and take him at #2 it all depends how he turns out. If he's a game changing stud then good call. Anything less and Webster looks like an imbecile.

Personally I think Webster takes a lot of pressure off of himself if we trade down. If we pick lower there's less expectation on whoever we pick plus Webster gets credit for securing X number of much needed high picks for the rebuilding process.

I think a lot is going to depend on how we do in FA, but right now the Jets are definitely our best bet to trade back. Id take their 1,2,4 and 1in 2016 right now.

You've been watching JJ Watt since Nebraska huh? I seem to remember his beastly senior year in my home state of WISCONSIN. Damn JCB trying to act like he has watched Watt before the NFL and doesn't even know what school he went to.

Call it ridiculous, but if we stay at 2 and don't take a top QB I will consider it a failure. There hasn't been a QB class with the top 2 QB's getting this much attention since Luck and RG3. I want to trade, but if we can't get out of the 2 spot I want a QB. Who cares if it's a project, who cares that we believe in Mett. It's still good to have some competition and someone who can take the reins if he gets injured like he did this year. If we stay at 2 and don't go QB then I think it's a failure.

PS Doesn't Webster want to stay at 2 and take a QB? Seems like he could use that toward his job stability since he's on the hot seat right now!

IDK his intentions but if he's smart he makes it seem that way to drive up the value of the pick. No one is trading up unless we make it seem like we're taking one of the 2 QBs.
