That's why we take Leonard Williams with #2 and find a NT ;)

Actually Suh could play DE in our 3-4 front about the same as JJ Watt plays for Houston. It would probably free him up more to rush passer and collapse pocket as he plays the 1-tech DT in Detroit so he is taking on blocks and doubles anyway. Next to a competent NT like Knighton or Dan Williams to take up the doubles and Casey on the opposite side he would probably be more of a force than in Detroit, at least personal stats anyway.

Giving a guy a $100-million contract and then making him switch positions is a recipe for disaster. That's almost exactly what the Redskins did with Haynesworth.

    No thanks.

We do need to find a good NT. Haven't heard much discussion on it. What do you guys think of Malcolm Brown from Texas in the 2nd? He's 6-4, 320 and pretty disruptive from what I've seen.

Shelton is definitely my favorite of the group but I don’t see any way he falls out of the 1st round. He could go top 15. Check out Brown. He’s a big dude that can play.

If we were already a good defense and we were a pass rusher away then sure but Houston can't fix the defense on his own and he'll break our bank. We would become very dependent on our draft picks for a while and we see how that's going for us.

Would love to have him, the timing just isn't right.

Who do we have to pay? Casey is already locked up. Wright is next in line but he should come cheap. No franchise QB to give a huge contract out to. We have 30+ in cap space with the "estimated" cap number which the actual is usallu more. With some smart cuts/re-negotiating will have more cap to spend.

I say we throw 5-7 years @ 12mil-15mil with the last few years as 1 year contracts to opt out.

While we aren't a player away, we have cap room and no superstars to spend it on. We need LB help, and he can bring some. Sign him and a defensive heavy draft and you could really transform this team. The offense would look much better if the other team isn't running the ball down our throats for 40 mins/game.

Big contracts like this scare me, but at least they aren't 100% guaranteed like the stupid NHLol.
