Hell yeah. Then draft another stud OLB in the first, and a NT at 33, and get ready to kick Andrew luck in the junk.

We need another capable CB before we need a new NT. Al Woods holds his own, Blidi Wreh is killing us being out there, he's at best a nickle back.

Yards per carry by quarter this season:

    1st- 4.0
    2nd- 4.8
    3rd- 5.1
    4th- 3.5

We gave up 4.4 YPC on first down. In yards to-go situations of 1-3 yards we gave up 3.6 YPC.

The run defense was just flat-out bad.

Not arguing it wasnt bad but I dont think theyre bad because they cant play, I think its more about having to play 42 and 43 minutes. Good defenses aren't seeing 1200 snaps a year because their offenses are half decent.

Our defense sucks because our offense really sucks.
Justin Houston knifing in would put pressure on QB's like no one we have, we need this kind of guy here, badly. Sign the all-world LB and draft a CB, then overload the offense with talent.

First off, I don't see a scenario where he does not get signed or tagged in KC. Which sets him up to be a FA next year, which might help us. We are more competitive (hopefully) and is more appealing to a guy like him. But, lets say he does hit FA.

First, we will have more than 32 million. Players will be cut and we will gain flexibility. Lets say around 40-42 million to spend. He will get a deal very similar to Mario Williams. Id offer 5 years/ 70 million. 14 a year is a lot for one player, but I think he is worth it. Though, this team has a lot of holes in it. That's about a 1/3 or 1/4 of our spending money. It could come down to the FO thinking Houston or Worilds + S + OT. Which is worth more to our team? Hard to tell and would depend on how we use the rest of our money. Problem is that Houston is going to be signed quickly. He is priority number 1 for a lot of teams. He will be a gamble. Though, the thought of him plus our 2nd round OLB pick rushing behind Casey, Dan Williams, and L. Williams does excite me.

He won't get out of KC this year. The more likely question is would we want Tamba Hali as a short term stop gap at OLB. He is likely to be released this offseason to make room to tag Houston. Hali is 31, but still a decent OLB.

Hali wouldn't be a bad consultation prize, still productive and would be a fraction of the price. Houston actually credits Hali for everything he knows. Hali could mentor Morgan and get him to post 22 sacks :D

The more I think about it, no way the Titans spend the kind of money on any player that Houston is going to command. The Titans would rather have 3 players like like Jovan Haye, Will Witherspoon, and Sean Smith at around $1 million per year, than spend $3 million for one player that’s much better. It always seems to be how they roll. Heck, I think our highest paid player made like $7 million this past year. That’s hardly breaking the bank.

This might sound crazy, but with his injury Ifo Ekpre-Olomu from Oregon could fall to us in the 2nd round at pick #33. I know he’s a bit undersized but the dude can play. If he’s there at 33 I hope we pull the trigger. Would be a perfect complement opposite McCourty.

Isn't Morgan a FA this year? I've seen some sites that show his contract up and some show him with one more year.
