Now that it's set in stone that we're #2, it's time to start talking about our options. There's plenty of threads talking about players, people calling their shots, etc that people have talked about trading #2.

Personally, I love Mariota... but I believe he goes #1. I also don't love Winston enough to take him 2nd overall. If we kept #2, I'd love Leonard Williams. However, I'm fully on board with trading #2. I'm praying that we can find an RG3/STL type of trade. Winston will be our key to being able to trade #2, we need somebody to desperately need a QB and to make a move. There's no free agent QBs worthy of starting and besides maybe Cutler, no QB will get traded. There's also very little depth at the QB position in the draft, besides Mariota/Winston another QB might not go into the 3rd round.

So who would trade for #2 for Winston... Redskins (#5), Jets (#6), Bears (#7), & Rams (#10). Redskins are unlikely, since they've already got burned by a trade up (RG3) and still have a lot invested in him. Jets would make sense with a new HC/GM coming in. Bears if Cutler gets traded. Rams are a wildcard, but unlikely. The Redskins once traded their 1st (6), a 2nd, and 2 more future 1sts for #2 to take RG3. I would LOVE to land a trade like this.

With our 1st (now #6) we get a Choice of Gregory, Ray, Beasley, Williams, Cooper, or Collins. Then have two 2nd, maybe Melvin Gordon falls to the 2nd... would love to have him. Can also draft a guard in the early 2nd... and still have 2 more years coming up with 2 1st rounds.

    So who's with me?

I can't trust the FO to make the right decision either way.

Draft order sucks for a trade. Jags and oak are after us followed by wash and nyj...so unless we bluff them into thinking we take a qb...it'd be hard to work a trade considering oak and jags just got a qb last year

I don't think the Redskins will risk getting burned again and giving us a ton of picks like they did with St. Louis. Speaking of the Rams, don't think Fisher would do that kind of deal. The Jets have reportedly fired Rex Ryan. Their new HC will want a new QB and they have the picks, probably the most likely. A fall to #6 isn't bad either, keeps us in range of a top defensive prospect or even Amari Cooper if we wanted to go that route.

Bears and Redskins would be interested because we could do a QB exchange as well. I don't really want Cutler but I would imagine them being able to dump Cutler's contract and picking up Mariota/Winston means they give us more picks instead of us giving up picks for Cutler. Swap 1sts and a 2nd and 4th or something like that would be fine with me. Don't really want RG3 either but a similar deal could be made.

    Here's the draft order:

    1. Bucs
    2. Titans
    3. Jags
    4. Raiders
    5. Redskins
    6. Jets
    7. Bears
    8. Falcons
    9. Giants
    10. Rams
    11. Vikings
    12. Browns
    13. Saints
    14. Dolphins
    15. 49ers
    16. Texans
    17. Chiefs
    18. Chargers
    19. Browns
    20. Eagles
    (21-32 not yet determined)

Teams that pick after us in the mix for a QB: Redskins, Jets, Bears, Rams, Browns, Texans

In a perfect world the Browns would give up on Manziel (they should; he sucks) and trade us both of their 1st round picks and next year's 1st for our #2 pick. Highly doubt they'll admit they were wrong about the Manziel pick that quickly though.

Realistically, we'd be looking to trade down in the 5-7 range or 10th to the Rams (although I think we all know Fisher wants to stick with Bradford for some dumb reason). If we can trade back and still end up with Cooper, Williams or Ray, I would be ecstatic.

Loading up on picks would be cool but just remember that first drive of the season with Mett will be a pick 6. He basically averages one in the first three drives right?

Yea but, our team will be so bad I'm almost certain that any qb we roll with will fail.

I kind of just want to stick with Mett so he takes the abuse while we reload.
