Right now Williams is #1 on my list. At that time I doubt/hope Bosa isn't a need at the time.

It was targeting. Or at worst, a bad and dumb foul. To do that in a championship game is incredibly stupid. I think his stats are a bit inflated anyway with having another very good pass rusher across from him.

Did anyone watch the Nebraska-USC games? Only caught a bit of it but totally forgot to focus on Gregory and Williams. Only caught a few glimpses from the bar.

I watched a bit, and neither stood out.. I wasn't paying A LOT of attention, but I was especially disappointed with Gregory.. Looked disinterested to me..

I saw Williams make some nice plays in the run game, but nothing blew my mind. He had one sack but got a dumb celebration/taunting penalty.

I'd be hesitant to draft either as #2

This is a bum year to be picking in the top 5, hopefully we can trick someone into trading us.

The one year we draft in the top 5 or even top 2, there isn't a can't miss prospect and both top QBs have some major question marks. I'm really hoping we can sell a team on Winston and get a few extra picks. A lot more guys I like in the early-mid 1st round than I do with a top 5 pick.

I think Williams is going to be great, but he can't carry a team like a quarterback.

Gregory is injury-prone and the production is not there to be a top pick.

Winston (minus off field stuff) reminds me a little of McNair (i know a few will not want to hear this). I would be happy if we drafted him but my 1st choice would be to trade down and get Amari or a defensive playmaker. I think Mettenberger can be pretty good with more experience and more support.

And as a Nebraska fan, it's well documented Gregory takes plays off and lights up more often than he should, wouldn't surprise me to see him suspended for failing some drug tests in the League

With everyone agreeing that Williams is one guy we should consider there are some good DE-OLB prospects that can be had early in rd 2. Flowers and Golden both have good size and are solid all around players.

With just 2 sacks this year i'm assuming that the Cameron wimbley experiment is over here? 2 massive defensive failures were not stopping the run and not getting any production from our edge pass rushers. Phillips had 10 sacks last year and was a total pos for us.

As far as QBs are concerned remember that Bortles was the only QB taken in the first 21 picks and we got a pretty good QB as late as the 6th rd. If Mariota and winston are not worth a top 5 pick you don't draft them there. Bridgewater was talked about as a possible 1st pick at one time. A guy like Bryce Petty could be had with our 3rd pick.
