Almost one year after not being charged(for the second time) is a pretty long time.

 

The same excuses were made for Pacman Jones and Hitler. Do you want either of them on your team?

 

I understand the bias that you may be feeling. If this were a player from Arkansas, I'd feel bias as well. None the less, while that little stunt he pulled at the FSU student union may be written off as youthful foolishness if it were an isolated incident by a low profile student that is otherwise well behaved.. Jameis was extremely high profile at the time.. not only for being the star athlete of one of the best teams in the country, but also for the previous garbage he had gotten caught up in.

When the spotlight is so bright on you that it burns.. you've got to have some degree of self control. That's what makes that little outburst at the student union seem like he is a truly stupid young man. It was something so unnecessary and controllable. It's no big wonder why fans may be reluctant to see their team stake their future on a guy like that.

 

Do you think any responsible young man would yell that in public after being falsely accused of rape?

That's what I'm asking.

 

I totally get that. I get the concern over his maturity. I have it too.

I don't like the violent thug stuff though. That's why I defend him the way I do.

FHRITP is not a big deal. FSU made it worse by suspending him. Jameis Winston will forever be known as the first student athlete ever suspended for imitating an internet meme.

I don't think he is violent. If we draft him I doubt he will rape or kill someone.
