I doubt many people see Winston as a running qb after watching him play...

I think most make that assumption because his highlights include a huge run against a big time pass rush. I am not sold on him, but I have to admit he is very hard for pass rushers to take down.

I agree with this 100%! I've been saying in every draft-like thread if you don't absolutely love your guy at #1 or #2 you trade away the pick. You simply can not afford to miss that high and get nothing from it.

At the bare minimal, the problem with this team is lack of talent across all phases of our game (ST, OFF, & DEF). I'm not in love with Mariota or Winston, hence I say trade away! We have so many holes to fill that I honestly do not think we will be any worse off if we acquire a crap load of picks this year and for future years. By trading back this year, the hard truth is we may suck again next year. Honestly, after a decade+ of mediocrity, that also may not be the worse outcome for us. Someone said earlier that adding more bodies will not solve our problems. However, I disagree. I'm not saying that adding more bodies will instantly make our team a competitor, but it certainly addresses one of the biggest glaring needs on this team. Lack of DEPTH. Our starters are probably backups on most NFL teams and our backups are closer to PS players than legitimate NFL caliber backups. If we can't rebuild our team from top to bottom, then we go bottom up.

Now before I get crucified for making my statement above, understand where I'm coming from. As a fan I DO NOT want us to suck, but I am also a realist. One good player WILL NOT fix this team. We need talent that we can build around that can sustain us for years to come. I'd gladly throw away a single season or even two to get that; to get a chance of consistently being a contender, to return to being the Titans we all used to love. Considering there isn't a can't miss Luck caliber player when we pick next year you trade back, get more picks this year, and flip unwanted picks into future picks. The best and most consistent teams in the NFL always play the long game. They always are drafting ahead of their needs and stockpiling picks for future years allowing them to make aggressive moves when they do fall in love with players. We need to shift to a similar mindset.

Obviously we do't have a FO office who appears to be competent to shift their focus so in my opinion they should be replaced. I can rant on that topic all day. However I will say this, I do not believe our FO has been all bad as many have suggested. I just don't believe they are capable of leading a rebuilding effort and we need to put a staff in place who can... :-/

You guys keep talking about Amari Cooper. DeVante Parker is going to be what Justin Hunter was supposed to be.

Actually, you don't tell anyone the #2 pick is open for trade. You prop up both QB's and let loose you will take either of the 'franchise' QB's. You see Mariota as a taller Russell Wilson and Winston as Big Ben! Oh, and we NEED a QB. Let that percolate for a while. Teams will come calling!

Gives you more leverage. If they know you want out, they will underpay (which is why NE fleeces us every time). Let them know he'd have to sell this to ownership that we are trading away our franchise QB...and the GM might lose his job if he doesn't take the qb...

    Gotta sell it!!!
