Talk about a group of guys who had instant impact. I wonder if another team has had 3 guys put up such numbers as rookies. Need Kuharsky's ESPN stat guys to research that.

Beckham in 11 games had 1120 yds and 11 TDs...truely amazing impact

Hill splitting carries in Cincy rushes for 1024 yds avg. 5.1 ypc and 9 TDs and over 200yds recieving

Jarvis Landry with 79 receptions for 703 yds and 5 TDs

Sankey our 2nd rnd RB had 551 yds with a 3.3ypc avg and 2 TDs

Wright our 1st rnder had 706 yds with 5 TDs

Hunter our 2nd rnder had 28 catches for 498 yds and 3 TDS

I've been guilty of talking about stuff like this, but I'm really starting to hate this crap.

We need to be more worried about the future. Can't go back and take Beckham over Lewan and Hill over Sankey. Wish we could, but we can't.

So let's talk about the upcoming draft and the future of the team.

Our past poor drafting is why we are in this ****uation.

From a fundamental standpoint we have just screwed up....you don't take an OG in the top 10, you don't draft a slot WR in the 1st rnd, when you have tons of needs all over the place you don't go RB early when it is a deep draft at that position.

Our 1st round pick and the impact players selected after them
    2014 Taylor Lewan 11th
Beckham, Donald, Cooks, Benjamin, Bridgewater, Zach Martin
    2013 Chance Warmack 8th
Richardson, Lotulelei, Vacarro, Reid, Long, Hopkins
    2012 Kandell Wright 20th
    Chandler Jones, Mercilus, Harrison Smith

Could be worse, IMO since Webster taken over (only did Webster drafts). Could be a lot better.

Watt in 2011, Jones in 2012, Richardson in 2013 thats one scary front 7.

That is a key point that I think is getting lost. Mett has been ok to good in garbage time. He has not won a game 0. The talent at LSU, he should have been much better. I hope he turns out great but great was something he never was at LSU with superior talent all around him. We still need a qb

Agreed, but keep in mind, they gave up nothing for him. We win either way. A 6th round pick (even if he ends up a permanent backup) is fine by me.

Oh absolutely. My original comment was directed at those who see Mett as the second coming.

No doubt Hammer. He isn't the second coming, however, I would love to see how he does with some weapons around him and a line that can pass protect.
