It's weird to think now, that if we had just won one more game we would not have been in position to draft Mariota. Just thinking back to all the close calls, the one that sticks out the most is the Jets game and the last play where Delanie was close to scoring the winning touchdown. If he scores there, the Jets are picking at 2 and not us.

I was one of those fans who knew it was in long-term best interests to lose as many games as possible in 2014. Getting the duck just proves that point.

How funny is this. Back in Oct '14, he wanted Cody Prewitt as our 1st rounder... we ended up getting him as an UDFA. Just goes to show you how much stock changes throughout the year.

Yep. That's why I refused to get so excited about that "awesome 2016 QB class" as some others around here. This stuff can change so quickly. At one time Locker was being talked about as a potential #1 overall pick. And I remember everyone being on Bridgewater's jock as the #1 pick but by the time the draft rolled around people were questioning if he was even gonna go in the 1st round.

I'm glad he didn't because the Texans would have him. I actually wanted us to take Teddy last year. If I were drafting these past few years we'd have Star Lotulelei, Teddy, and probably Cooper (assuming we were still picking so high).

But I honestly think Mariota has the higher ceiling so maybe it's all for the best. We can hope.

    Mine would of been:

David DeCastro (over Kendall), Sheldon Richardson (over Warmack), & Aaron Donald (over Lewan)... really wanted Anthony Barr last year, who I think we would of took if Minnesota didn't take him before us.

This year, I wanted Amari... bad, but not at #2.

Yeah I wanted DeCastro as well. The Warmack pick is the one I'd really love to change. Lewan I think will end up being a solid-to-great pick so in retrospect I'm on board with that one.
