How could anyone be stupid enough to believe this? The NFL has a trade deadline. If a team got caught negotiating a trade right now there would be massive penalties.

Its just pure speculation. What isn't is the Bears are going to dump cutler one way another. Benching him prevents any injuries that would ruin any possibility of a trade. A healthy cutler can warrant a late round pick.

I could 100% see this happening. Especially wit Whiz. The only thing I like about it, is that it takes a bit of pressure off of Mett, while also allowing us to take the best player at the top of the draft (Pass rusher, or a stud) without forcing a pick on a QB. It worries me however due to Cutler's up and down play and his INT rating.

I am all for it as long as it is a 5th or later. Let Mett sit for a year or two and learn. Cutler is a whiz guy. People forget he threw for 4,400 yards one year and closing in on 30,000 for a career. We have plenty of money to take his contract and able to draft all D and o-line. Plus, we would still have a bit of cap money to add a few other pieces.

not only is he inconsistent, he is not a leader at all, which we need badly. Those two things together is bad news for the Titans.

I hope we don't bring this bum in.

Edit: if he gets released my attitude would change a little. If we would sign him to a cheap contract, fine he would be worth it.

But this whole we have the cap space to eat up his current contract is dumb as ****!

So when Mett absorbs another big hit from lack of pocket movement everyone is fine witb CBJ when he goes down?

yeah I actually would be okay with it, as long as his contract doesn't kill our free agency. But his attitude is all bad for our team. Scheme wise it makes sense. Wright and Washington as slot type guys. McCluster as a out of the backfield slot guy. Hunter as a deception deep threat, just to keep a defender off A. Cooper (our top draft pick.) I would rather go d line with top pick, I just don't see a game changer (Fowler maybe) at that position.
