No team is going to trade for Cutler. If he were cut, I wouldn't be opposed to signing him for a bargain price. Let him and Mett compete bc let's face it, we could have Aaron Rodgers next year and we'd still be terrible.

Lets face it, you don't sign Cutler to compete with Mett. If you pay to bring Cutler in with that contract he starts regardless. Teams don't sign guys that come in with titanic sized contracts to make the QB position more "competitive".

I would trade a late round pick for Cutler on a restructured deal, or sign him for a two-year deal if cut or released.

Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of Mett. However, he lacks that internal clock in his head and he takes to long in the pocket. Blame the o-line all you want Big Ben and A-Rod got it done with terrible lines. I have doubts of longevity of Mett career with those two issues knee, back, and shoulder all injuries he has dealt with so far in his short career.

I do not see Cutler as the answer but he is a nice stop gap to continue to develop Mett or another rookie.

Rolling with Mett is fun, you must admit that.

His personality makes it hard to hate him, just like Jake Locker character. Let that not cloud our judgement Mett was a 6th round pick. I think he has the mental toughness to be a great quarterback in this league, but he has a long way to go.

The one nice thing about having Mett and Cutler as our QBs is that the offense wouldn't have to change at all if the backup had to come in. They both have cannon arms that can make all the throws.

It will really be interesting to see how bad Chicago wants to get rid of Cutler.

What if the Bears traded us Cutler and a 2nd rnd pick for swapping 1st rnd picks??? We would then still be picking top 10 and get an extra 2nd. Let Mett and Cutler battle it out....the Bears would get to draft their franchise QB and get rid of Cutler's salary.

Don't want Cutler at all. Don't want him if he plays for free.
