Charlie Whitehurst better not screw us tomorrow

I emailed Jim Wyatt about this and he confirmed what I thought to be the case. If the records are the same, it comes down to strength of schedule which is still TBD. It's possible since TB still have to play GB and NO that they will have a tougher strength of schedule than we will at the end of the season.

 

I'm pretty sure I posted about strength of schedule earlier. I am glad you had to verify with Jimmy Wyatt.

 

I've seen mixed reports.

However, I believe there is a [small] chance the Titans can get #1 if both we and Tampa lose out. We basically need everybody on their schedule that's not on ours to win and vice versa for our schedule.

Our best hope is Tampa pulls an upset on New Orleans.

 

Haha. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between people on this board who know what they're talking about and those that don't.

 

Tampa capable of winning. They have some talent. It's possible.

As long as we stay ahead of the Jets and Washington we should get one of the top 2 QB. I doubt anyone else will go after Winston without trading up. Washington will not trade up after their most recent debacle. Perhaps some others.

Will Whitehurst screw us. I think the game will be close. So it's just going to come down to who makes a play. He's playing for a contract, but he still sucks, so in all likelihood this will come down to how bad the Jaguars are. Locker would likely have won this game, so Whitehurst is the best option.

 

Every year guys on here will call people fake fans for wanting us to lose meaningless games at the end of the season...

Just curious... Does anyone actually want to win tomorrow? I sure hope not.

Kendall is also stupid for saying that... It takes real fans to recognize the importance of losing right now.

Fake fans want to win now because they don't care about the future. Real fans want to lose because they do care about the future and want to improve.

Almost all of the elite teams were once this bad... Sometimes it only takes one top pick to change a franchise and move the team in the right direction for the future.

 

When Mettenberger was starting, I was still pulling for us to win because that would bode well for our future...

Now why do we want to win? Most of these players aren't going to be around for a while. Other than Casey, Walker, and I guess Lewan, who is irreplaceable? No one.
