The picks are given a value. Most teams trade strictly based on that value. Say #1 is worth 6,000pts (No idea really) and #6 is worth 2000pts. The team wanting to trade up must give up enough picks to equal the remaining 4000pts in most cases. Course that all depends on what the other GM is willing to take.

Here is a good link explaining the point value of the RG3 trade.

I think the media world is praying we don't get pick 1. They'd have to cover us lol.

You say that jokingly, but I bet it's true. MSM hates us and this year I actually don't blame them one bit. We're pathetic.

I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think we can beat their backups anyway.

Their back up QB is Hasselback. He is better than our starters, let alone Whitehurst. LOL. We would've been well served to keep him rather than go to Fitz then Whitehurst

I suspect it'd go...titans will draft mariota. No debate there. Let's spend two weeks on Tampa bays draft choices.

Lower SoS gets better draft pick because the team did the same against worse competition.

Making the lower SoS team a worse team and getting the draft slot. Of course they rotate the tied teams. If Titans are tied with another team at 2-14 then they will rock back and forth thru the rounds

makes sense, but you have to wrap your head around it.

That's because they're expecting that week 17 game to matter... and it very well could. It will matter if one of these happens:

    Colts lose
    Pats lose
    Broncos lose

But for SoS purposes, we need the Pats to win (which they will since it's the Jets). So best case scenario would be that just the Colts and/or Broncos lose.

Also, resting starters has proven to be costly to many teams in the past... including ours in 2008. :(

There is no source - because it didn't happen.
