As of now the Bucs opponents have 90 wins 90 losses and 2 ties.

The Titans opponents have a record of 91 wins 90 losses and 1 tie.

The one game this weekend that we really need to cheer for is the Rams to beat the Giants. This is the only game that affects both the Bucs and us. The Rams win would add a win to the Bucs total while the Giant loss would add a loss to the Titans.

I really want the #1 pick so we have every and any opportunity to do exactly what we want. If TB gets #1, they draft Mariota and maybe that's who we wanted. If Jax/Oak get #1, maybe they take best defensive player avail, and maybe that's what we wanted to do.. Or maybe they get a great trade offer from TB/NYJ, and that could have been us.

I just want us to do exactly what we want to. We are so bad we can't afford to "settle" in this draft.

Bad thing is, we will most likely beat the Jags this weekend and ruin our chance at a top 3 pick.

Well yeah I'd love for the Bucs to win another game.

Just curious, how is the win/loss calculated for division opponents we play twice? For example, is Indy's record counted twice for us since we play them twice, likewise with NO for the Bucs.

How? They have 5 wins at 7th. We could only have 4 wins. We could not get 7th so lowest is 6th

I do not know the answer to that. My calculations above only included the division opponents once. If you include the division opponents twice then the records are...

Bucs opponents 106 wins 115 losses and 2 ties
Titans opponents 110 wins 113 losses and 2 ties

I want a top pick so we don't have any excuses. This will fall on the scouters and some on the GM if we fail on a draft class with a top 3 pick. I know some players will not pan out, it happens.

If we end up getting a 6th or 7th overall pick, some people would be like "if we would have had a top 3 pick, we could of got this person" and so on. If we get a top 3 pick, that's our opportunity to do something.

Slightly related question. When the Rams held the #2 pick a few years back and traded to Washington, I believe they moved down to the 6th spot. In return they received the 6th pick, Washington's 2nd rounder that year, and 2 future first round picks. I'm not thinking we would get that from a trade down this year (assuming we own the 2nd pick), but realistically, what do you think we could get from hypothetically trading with a team like the Jets so they can grab a QB?

In this year's draft, if we made a move like that (let's say back to the 6th spot), do you think we could end up with that teams 1st, 2nd, & 3rd this year plus a 1st next year?

Probably not unless someone is in love with one player.

Yea probably not, but we can sit back and relax, knowing we have no chance whatsoever, if their starters play.
