Clay Travis Has Convinced Me We Should Draft Mariota

We have CBJ starting. The only way we win this game is if the Jags want us to to screw us out of Mariota.

 

Bortles is questionable with a foot injury. Could be Henne/Whitehurst. Who sucks more?

 

CBJ gives us a better chance to win than Locker.

He's clearly the better QB.

Sucks Locker got hurt because our chances of winning have increased now.

 

If be all for a qb if we had an oline. No sense in wasting a pick on someone who is going to get crushed every week. Build D and fixed the o line first.

 

Mariota hasn't taken a snap from under center since high school. Does that not bother anyone?

I hear the comparisons of him being a Russell Wilson type but Russell Wilson ran a pro-style offense at Wisconsin.

I think trading back is probably the best option if you can get a couple of firsts and seconds with a mid rounder or two mixed in.

of course you wait until the combine/pro days when you can see him take snaps from under center. As long as that checks out, it shouldn't be an issue.

I have reservations about Mariotta, and those should be answered in the playoffs.

 

But the real issue is all QBs are going to have some sort of flaw. Right now, not lining up under center is Mariotta's, as well as fumbling, you have to trust Whiz to be able to fix that. Otherwise, we shouldn't be drafting QBs at all.

 

Yeah- I'll be watching Mariota and Cooper closely.

Mariota sounded like a 4th grader when he read his Heisman speech- that bothered me about him. I like Metts 30 on the Wonderlic. Interested to see what Mariota scores.

 

He sounded nervous to me.

 

Who needs that? I want the iceman at QB.
