Is Mettenberger "our guy?"

lets build a nasty young dfense and roll with Mett and hope he don't die back there.

 

Mett's not my guy, he's a chump.

 

Again, there isn't a single QB in this league who would be successful behind this OL.

Not one.

With our OL from 2006-2009, Mett would possibly be rookie of the year.

People will say "oh but he threw a pick in every game." Yea... a couple weren't his fault and a lot of them happened at times when the game was completely over and we were in desperation mode.

Every single QB would've thrown a pick in each game behind this OL.

 

Respectfully disagree. This team is horrible and the OL is a huge part of that BUT Mett doesn't deserve a pass. He hasn't been great, he's been decent in limited action but he hasn't shown anything that makes me feel ok about QB going forward.

 

Wrong. Peyton and Rodgers would be successful enough. Our QB's hold on to the ball far too long because they're not accurate enough to make tough throws.

 

Even if we had a good OL, Mett played as well as you could possibly expect any rookie to play in his first six starts.

And he had ACL surgery less than a year ago...

Add all this up and I think he performed pretty well given the circumstances.

I'm not saying he's a franchise QB, but who do we have that is better? No one. Is there a FA QB that's better? Nope.

I want us to draft a QB, but not in the 1st. I would be pissed if we did that.

 

Hmmm I use the same argument for Griffin yet you laugh.

 

Griffs expensive. We could draft a rookie who'll do as good for a fraction of the cost

 

Really? Then why hasn't that happened? Griffin is a very dependable Titan and he has been a solid draft pick.
